Start at 12 and get home earlier.  Noon starts mean tailgating is underway prior to 8 am for some.  The last couple of years, crowd size was dictated by weather, competition from the Badgers, and rivalry.  La Crosse has been out Big home draw on an annual basis.

We'll see how many "front runners" that choose to blow off Saturday's game.  Maybe that is just the culture of fans these days.  Whitewater is on pace for school-record attendance this season averaging 7,148 through three home games.  WILL HAWK FANS STAY PASSIONATE AND CONTINUE TO PACK THE PERK?  Sure hope so.

Got an unavoidable conflict this weekend but will be there on the 8th.  Noon start time just means more time in the bars AFTER the game!  :D

WIAC games tend to be an hour earlier later in the season because of daylight savings.  Coaches and ADs would prefer games don't finish after dark when the temperature might drop severely.  Not all teams adjust their schedules this way but most do.

(and, as previously pointed out, more time for drinking!)

NCAA playoff games are required to be at noon anyway, so it can't hurt to be familiar with that in the pregame routine.

I enjoy the 1:00 starts, I like getting the extra hour in the perking lot tailgating.   :P

The WW/EC game really has no importance as far as winning conference, as it's a non-conference game. Right?
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Right.  Only matters to each teams win/loss record which could affect their play-off chances at a pool bid if neither team wins conference and becomes the AQ.

STP did play good D, but lets face it uww beat itself.
I'm impressed, it took until Tuesday until someone broke out the UWW beat itself post.  As far as I could tell Point was taking away things that usually work for UWW and put them in a position they weren't used to being in.

and then end up playing North Central in Naperville (who is brutal)  before the Semi's.
A lot of the key guys that were running that "brutal" NCC offense that put up 346 yards and 28 points on UWW last year are still there.  Granted I have no idea how the NCC defense would match up against the UWW offense this year.

It was inevitable, don't you think? ...

...I can assure you that no one around the Warhawk football program cares at this moment about how WW matches up with NCC nor anyone else not named Eau Claire.   ;)  Should be another interesting and tough weekend of WIAC football.

I remember hearing something on one of the coaches shows that coach Leipold wanted some different start times.
I am not sure why but seeing this sunday we turn the clocks back an hour it's probably so the coaches and players as well as the fans can have a couple more hours at the bars of Whitewater.

If you really wanted to slag WW fans then you would have noted that one needs a job to afford sitting in a bar.

Congrats to DB Paul Wick, Jr., UW-Whitewater, DL Marcus Ball, Jr., UW-Stout, and RB Craig Warminski, Fr., UW-Stout for being named to the D3football.com Team of the Week.

OZ: + karma to you for that one. That is true one needs money to sit at the bar all night. Also being in whitewater and sitting at the bar all night does not equal a good thing. As it most likely would lead to trouble with most likely whitewaters finest which would result in athletes mug shots being posted all over the student newspaper front page which would all end with some football player starting a Bleep the royal purple and their sports editor for being up in our personal lives, on face book. As well as football players M-Fing the poor student reporter calling them for details. Just some of the stuff I remember reading about and being told by my brother in law who went to the U-DUB-DUB.
No matter what the game times are set, and they a re set in stone, and can't be changed so we have to deal with them.
