What a big weekend in the WIAC, the top four teams go at each other where afterward, there could be a 4 way tie on top.

Interesting Bobo.
Warminski is also Stout's second freshman starting at tailback this season.  Trevor Fiege had started the year as the #1 back.  Adding both of their numbers up, they are equal with Coppage.

It will definitely be an interesting game and will come down to 3rd down conversions in my mind.

Look for a lot of penalties, too - the two most penalized teams in the WIAC.

UWW converts over 52% on 3rd downs, Stout, just under 36% - nearly dead even on opp 3rd down conversion UWW 30.7%, Stout 33.9%

I think in a close game (which I don't think it will be) it comes down to kicking - UWW 92.3 % on FG's, Stout 47.4%.

Another key:  how well UWW controls Marcus Ball, sack and TFL leader and a couple other Blue Devils like Towner and Riha.  UWW has only allowed 7 sacks on the year.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Rams' kick and punt returner is out for the year.
Hall suffered a high-ankle sprain Sunday in the 34-13 loss to Arizona. "It's a pretty bad injury," Haslett said. Thus, Hall's days with the Rams could be over.

Derek Stanley took over the return duties after Hall went down, and he'll continue in the role, Haslett indicated.

Stanley returned two punts for a 13.0 yard average, and two kicks for a 20.5 yard average in the second half of last Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals.

Who would be the person to give UWW #1 vote in the coaches poll?  would it be MTU or someone else?  just curious as it jumped out at me.

This is off topic, but as a Political Science major, I feel that it is my duty today to urge everyone to get out to the polls and vote.  However, knowing the over class of the posters on this board, I would venture to guess that everybody already has or is planning on going.   :)

Also, great catch by Stanley.  Congratulations, it's always good to see WIAC players having success.

Which freshman RB in the Stout/UWW game rushes for more yards,

Craig Warminski  or  Levell Coppage?
  vs
716 yds/6.4 avg     1,114 yds/5.3 avg

Coggage will have the better game....Warminski is going up against a stout rush defense.  :D (god am I lame)

In order to really ask the question, you need to add in Freshman Trevor Fiege for Stout as well.

BDB, sorry, not so fast, unless there's been a rule change, Stout can only have one ball carrier at a time.  If you want to add someone else, then UWW will add

Antwan Anderson

Anderson is a soph, so maybe he is disqualified, since we are talking freshman.  Anyway, take your two, Coppage still outgains your two-headed attack IMO!!  With Anderson also in the mix, we outgain your guys by a lot more!!

I guarantee that is Larry Kerhes of Mount Union's vote.  I don't believe he ever votes his own team #1.

Here's something everyone thought was the case (especially at the QB position), but now it is confirmed:

UW-La Crosse football coach Larry Terry likes to say his team's depth chart is a fluid document, meaning that few, if any, starting jobs are guaranteed from week to week.

I'm more concerned about the injury we have to be worried about.  Hopefully Donovan will be ready to play.  If not we'll have to go with Langer who's been itching for his chance all season.   He may get it.

Well yes, since your question asked about freshman, being a sophomore would eliminate someone from the answer.

The point of my post was to say that in Stout's offense it would not be a surprise to see Fiege get more carries and/or yards on a particular day. So, if you are going to ask the question you need to add him in there.
