I'm more concerned about the injury we have to be worried about.  Hopefully Donovan will be ready to play.  If not we'll have to go with Langer who's been itching for his chance all season.   He may get it.

BD,

Whats the prognosis on Donovan?

Commenting on that "Current Poll" question on the first page of d3football.com, could the 54% (of 645 votes cast) that have, at this moment in time, selected the final response "I don't visit any of these," only visit warhawkfootball.com?  Do yourself a favor and visit the best fan site out there!!

This weeks d3football Team of the Week includes 3 players from the WIAC awarded for their outstanding effort last week, they are:

Quincy Hudson, DB, Jr., UW-Platteville
"Hudson made two red-zone turnovers, helping UW-Platteville record its first WIAC shutout since 1992 with a 7-0 win against UW-River Falls. He made an interception on the goal-line on the Falcons' first drive and also recovered a fumble on the 19 in the third quarter. Hudson, matched up all day one-on-one with Michael Zweifel, the conference's reception leader, made six tackles (four solos) and also broke up two passes."

Marcus Ball, DL, Jr., UW-Stout
"Ball had six tackles for loss and three sacks and recovered a fumble in a 26-14 win against UW-La Crosse. He had eight tackles, all solo."

Jace Rindahl, LB, Sr., UW-Whitewater
"Rindahl recorded 12 tackles, six solo, in a win against UW-Eau Claire. UW-Whitewater's defense limited the Blugolds 216 total offensive yards, while allowing 96 yards rushing to their 32 rushing attempts."

Wow, Warhawkfootball.com was not even an option?  I don't say this very often, (in fact, possibly never,)  but I think D3football.com missed the boat on that one! But then.............I am slightly biased!   ;)

Oh, and big congrats to Jace!  Way to go!!

1-27, Thanks for he info about summer conditioning. I was wondering about the off season when they are in classes. I have been told about a couple kids from UWW that got kicked off the team for not lifting weights during the off season. However based on what my friends son has been told that their can not be any mandatory off season conditioning for d3 players what so ever.
My friend asked me, and I told him I would find out. I know that spring ball they wear no pads and can't do a lot of things that the other levels can do with spring ball based on the pictures I have seen from warhawkfootball.com of the hawk's spring ball.
Know the important question of the week and someone has to have info on this but what's the status of Donovan.

I've made a committment to the staff not to discuss the injury status of any player on this site.   Sorry

I would bet anything that only at game time will we find out any information regarding Donovan's condition or status for the game this week.  I say this because, based on past experience, it seems to be the SOP used at UWW.  If it were me, I wouldn't say a word to anyone.  Let Stout find out when UWW takes the field during pre-game warm-ups.  Being that Donovan and Langer have such different styles, I say make Stout spend as much time thinking about both of them during their preparations this week. There is an advantage to UWW in not commenting, IMO.

When Langer's had PT, he seems to be real effective, granted it's been with the game already decided.  If he does take the helm this week, I think he'll run the offensive effectively and efficiently - he's a good QB.

I think you make a good point, BoBo, regarding how quickly they know who to prepare for.  That's what I would think too.  Funny thing is, though, I was talking to Coach Naatz on the phone last night and I mentioned that I read (on here) that Donovan might not play and his response was, "We only care about us, we have to be ready for either of those guys"  Coachspeak-maybe, but that was his response.

Forget Donovan, the most important question regarding the Stout @ Whitewater game is:

Will the UWW band finally get some new material or is everyone going to have to struggle through the exact same routine for the 4th week in a row?

Do we need to put a APB out on the Flash?  He has been unheard from for two days now.

You're actually paying attention to what they play?  I guess I'm not much for bands because aside from the Star Spangled Banner I haven't a clue what they've been playing.

BW Impressed as in the brezowitz days people would be writing everythign and anything on here. Did they sign you to a contract or soemthing, and if so how much money are they or who ever is writing the checks paying you?????
Here's a non relaed football question for you BW is the Hawks Mens BB team ready to go to the kohl center for what should be a slaughter on Monday. I was at the game when they plkayed MU,and Novak didn't start, which helped the hawks a little bit.

I don't know anything about the situation you are describing, but there is a difference between "mandatory" and "meeting the coach's expectations."  If the coach expects you to lift in the off season, you better do it.
