Spent the afternoon with Madam LaBeaux reading tarot cards, conjuring up positive mojo vibes and even put "alligator arms" on a voodoo doll with the highest hopes for the team to pull one out this weekend Stout Guy.  Best wishes and nobody get hurt although a few pulled hamstrings on the pointers sidelines would be a good thing.  ;D

Don't forget....just as there is no "I" in team ... there is no "E" in Blugold. (No, I have no idea what that means!)

There is a movement underway (again) to come up with a mascot for Eau Claire. Since my college's mascot was a giant papier-mieche rock ("the Garnet"), I'm really not sure what value a mascot really is...unless it's the Phillie Phanatic!

Have fun at the Kohl Center Tuesday. I'll be at UW-Green Bay Sunday night to see the Phoenix and the Blugolds.
Wait one minute.  There is an "e" in Blue Devil and if Stout wins out, all this talk just might involve us.  Hey, I can dream can't I?

There is no "I" in team. There is a "T'....... and and "E",.... an "A" and an "M".  There is no "I" in team, period. There is an "I" in period,  but not in team. The "I" is in the beholder.

Can't recall which NBA reprobate first said it, but there IS an 'I' in 'WIN'! ;D

I don't think we should adopt a mascot at UWEC, but...

If there ever is one selected, I vote to call it "Sully."  ;)
Keep up the good work!

Kudos for Jace Rindahl for being on the Team of the Week this go -round.  He's on my team of the week every week!!
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Stout wins the rushing battle...

Whitewater with almost as many yards penalized as total offensive (well not really, but it seemed like it)...

Ugly game to listen to...probably even uglier to have been there live...

Langer adequate replacing Donovan...2nd half was pretty brutal...WW only 5 firsts downs for the game...I think I counted 4, 3 and outs in the second half for WW...

Had the feel of the Stevens Point game written all over it...nearly came down to the same result.

Move on to Platteville still alive, at this point, for a championship.

Have to love WIAC football...if anything, this season's been entertaining and competitive for the first time in a long time.

EC scores with about 40 (?) seconds to go but missed XP, goes up 20-14.  Point gets a decent return, with a facemask tacked on, then Jenkins catches a 20 yd reception, then a 28 yd TD for the tie... and then Point makes the XP to go up 21-20 with 6 seconds to go.

EC tries to lateral to the victory and gets about 20 yards, but Point covers.  Point wins!

Well Madam LeBeaux must have mistaken the "alligator arms" on the Pointers for the "alligator leg" of the EC kicker. Missed chip shot FG and one EP was the difference in the end. Reluctant props to SP for hanging tough and driving for the game winner. Hey EC ever heard of covering somebody with 26 seconds left.  Crazy game. ::).

The Roop

With the Point win. UWW is likely a Pool C and Ripon, Redlands and Wheaton are probably out of the play off field.

Hopefully the Pointers get a home game as I'm only 30 minutes away.

A few on the WW offense are playing like a bunch of rich, spoiled soccer players. O Coordinator, where are you?

Specials seem to get worse as the season goes on, and is it smart to have your best reciever and your best db returning kicks when you have a stable of all-sate running backs and db's on the bench?

Pretty good first game for the qb.

Thanks defense for playing hard, and classy, and winning another game for WW.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Roop, in case your not aware, there is one more game left in the WIAC regular season for both SP and WW.  SP loses to LC and WW beats Platteville, WW will be the AQ in the WIAC and Point is probably out. SP wins, they are the AQ; WW will probably need to win to get a Pool C; lose, they are out. Both teams lose, SP will be the AQ from the WIAC with 2 losses.  Either way, IMO, the outcome of these two games next week will have little impact on Ripon, Redlands, and Wheaton making any postseason plans.

Platteville and La Crosse show no signs of falling over and playing dead giving WW and SP a free pass to the playoffs, so it should be another playoff-like atmosphere to end the regular season.  Both teams (SP & WW) need to step it up a notch to play like a champion.  WW sounded downright ugly today and Point...well...I still don't know how long they can continue these final second heroics.

WW, in my opinion dodged a bullet today... The Stout wr with 2 plus minutes in the game, drop a pass at the WW 5 or so yardline and with his momentum, I'm sure it would have carried him into the endzone.. WW has some work to do if they want to make a deep run into the playoffs and eliminating the costly penalties will be a good place to start.

That's for sure.  Walker, flat out wide open and drops the ball.  Badgerwarhawk, Gary and Voice-thanks for the hospitality.  A class act, you WW guys,  and always a pleasure doing a game at your place.

You may be a hit harsh here, BoBo.  I figure WW are in even with another loss.  If SP drop another one then they are screwed, but WW are home.

The MIAC is doing its best impression of the normal WIAC season. At least it looks settled now. Winner of SJU/Carleton tilt goes to the playoffs as the automatic bid, all other MIAC teams stay home.
