WEST REGION

#2 OCCIDENTAL at #1 WILLAMETTE

#6 ST. JOHN'S at #5 WHITEWATER

#7 WARTBURG at #4 STEVENS POINT

#8 AURORA at #3 MONMOUTH

West coast and Texas teams get screwed again by travel expense and the tight NCAA.  Here's where that loss to the Pointers cost the Hawks again.  Looks like they have an easier road through the West Region.  We play #6 and then, if win, play the winner of the #1/2 matchup.  Point takes on #7 and then, if win, the winner of the #3/8 matchup.  If both win out, we'll get our chance for revenge and the Pointers get home field this time.  Not counting any chicken's, mind you, just investigating the possibilities. The path that the Hawk's charted with that loss means they must become road warriors should they survive the showdown with the Johnnies this weekend.  Good luck to the Pointers.  Here's to both WIAC teams showing that this is the, " toughest conference in D3!"
Now, before the Johnnies attack me for looking beyond them, hardly!  We will have our hands full this weekend.  I will tailgate like it is the last one this season cuz if the Hawks don't bring their A game, it will be and I am sure they and the coaching staff know it!  Just looking to stimulate conversation that doesn't envolve cheese and toilets over the next few days.     ;D

It's that time of year when the Johnnies begin their annual posting on the WIAC board. You can be sure of a few things when this senation begins to happen annually. The Johnnies will be at the Perk to support their team, they will give the Warhawks a solid game, and the sandbagging will be a constant. On the Warhawk side you can be certain they will be well prepared, well represented in the stands, and once again they will proceed on in the playoffs. The Johnnies will go back to the MIAC board where they can resume talking about ice fishing, broom ball, and hockey after the loss. Pound the Rock! Flush the Johns!........

Broom Ball sucks, we never talk about it  and you forgot about deer hunting and  Hamm's Beer  ;)

Careful there, 105.  Did you forget you have a member of the Minneapolis Co-Ed "B" city championship team in your midst?  We won a trophy and everything.  For the record, I would be happy to engage any willing party in an open discussion about broomball.

The time you spent writing this, ff413, would have been better spent fitting the Whitewater bandwagon with a propeller and wings for your trip out west next week.  The Johnnies were very fortunate to escape the MIAC in what everyone will agree was a down year in the in conference.  I'm just glad they got sent to slaughter in Whitewater so we don't need to deal with the ignominy of Monmouth running up the score on the Johnnies as payback for 62-3 in 2005.

To consider such a thought other than the most obvious would be rediculous.  Even the athletically distant MIAC understands the challenge their superior rivals pose.  I say this in all truthfullness.

Hey Duff, welcome back to the board.  What took you so long? Almost 20 hours since the match up was announced.   How is married life?  She kick your sorry butt out yet?   ;)        Another round of the Hawk's/Johnnies. Time for you to break out that Warhawks hat again!

BoBo, you should have read the board back in 05 the week the Hawks played the Johnnies.  These boys were really brutal regarding the upstart Hawks and their fans.  My..............what  difference a few championship games have made ;) :D ;D

+K for using "ignominy" in a post.
While we can't hold a candle to the football prowess of the WIAC, they'll never understand us when we talk about them. Hey, that's good for something!

Where we all these SJU sandbags when we were being flooded last spring.  We could have saved hundreds of homes!

Things are good.  My posting has tapered down because I've been in a depression due to the poor play of the Johnnies this year.  I'm virtually stunned that they won the MIAC and will be facing the 'Hawks again.

I can't break out the Warhawks hat this week.  That'd be terrible.  Maybe I will give it to my dog to chew on  ;)

How pissed is Johnny Gags that he has to leave Minnesota and come to the perk again.  Not to excited for yet another game between these 2 teams.

Very interested about the WIAC's all conference selections that if my memory serves me right will be coming out this week.

I know its a team game and nothing matters more than the team but at the same time its also nice to get some recognition for your hard work.

C'mon Dusty and Fins, picking on WIAC posters' spelling and grammatical errors is less of a challenge than the Warhawks will have with the Johnnies on Saturday...

That should read, me too.    But then I only have a public school education so what do I know.

Just about enough to teach a Phys. Ed. class, I imagine.  And you forgot the question mark, professor.
