The seven dwarfs went off to work in the mine one day, while Snow White stayed at home to do the housework and cook their lunch. However when she went to the mine to deliver their lunches, she found there had been a cave-in, and there was no sign of the dwarfs. Tearfully she yelled in to the mine entrance, "Hello?  Is anyone there?  Can anyone hear me?"

She heard a voice float up from the bowels of the mine, "I still think Whitewater will beat the Johnnies...''

"Thank God," said Snow White, "at least Dopey's still alive."

Superstition prevents me from not posting the rant:

GO WARHAWKS!!!   BEAT THE JOHNNIES!!!
Now I am off to put on my lucky underwear and Warhawk hat!   Safe travels to all.

For those who can't go to the game, I'll post the final score now. WW 13  SJU 0.

Both teams strength seems to be D. I think WW has a little more O power. Heading to the beer store. Good luck to all.

Flash, being as I am too lazy to go back and look, weren't you saying 42-0 earlier this week?
Everyday is payday in paradise.

The thing that fact that WW can't get into the endzone is very very scary.. Thank god for schebs.. with his foot of gold..

The 2 goal line stands out of the Johnnies were huge!!

Lets hope we come out strong in the 2nd half

Go Hawks!!!

Refs wearing red and white. What the *&%$. Come on O line you gotta get to it. I'd like to be a fly on the wall in the Warhawks locker room at half.  >:(

Sorry to have missed a great tailgate but watched the game on Penn Atlantic which was just fine....Close game the first half then the Warhawk defense and Oline dominated the game. Once again we bid a fond adieu to Dusty,Duffman, and the crew until next year......you guys always make it amusing for a week on the WIAC board. Way to pound the rock Warhawks and way to totally Flush the Johns once again. This is a young very deep Warhawk team which will even be better next year. Good luck to Derek Stanley tomorrow.......hope you get three touchdowns and lose by a point. Have a safe trip back to the Northland and enjoy ice fishing for the rest of the football season.......

the champ is here to stay

I'm with the sakman. Have fun ice fishing, and things like that on the 10,000 lakes in the great state of Minnesota. We will send you pictures from the second round of the playoffs, as well as the third round semi finals and stagg bowl. I would say better luck next year, however next year is most likely going to end the same way this year ended a lost to the Hawks.
GO HAWKS GO

Warhawks get off to a successful start to their title defense with a 37-7 monkey stomping of SJU. Defense kick started the effort with a dominating performance against a struggling SJU offense, giving up only 139 net yards for the game.  After starting with 3 FG's and getting stopped on the goal line a couple times, the the UWW running game started to wear down the Johnnie defense, aided by a few key Johnnie injuries.  SJU took an early 7-0 lead on their first possession of the game, a 12 play, 76 yard drive taking up over 7 minutes.  But that was it, as the Warhawk defense came up big when it needed. As was the case in earlier UWW/SJU playoff games, Johnnie turnovers loomed large.  A couple fumbles by starting QB Joe Boyle and a bad snap on an attempted punt gave the Warhawks outstanding field position and they took advantage of the good fortune.

The Warhawks finished with 445 of total offense (averaged 6.0 yards per play), while the Johnnies were an anemic 2.4 yards on their 54 plays.  Levell Coppage had 89 yards on 19 carries before being suffering an apparent ankle injury and not returning.  Antwan Anderson, stepped up like he has all season, to finish with 158 yards on 20 carries and 2 TD's - one being a 43 yarder.  After tossing an early INT following the Johnnies only score, Jeff Donovan settled down to go 13-21-1 for an unspectacular, but steady, 124 yards without a sack and scored on 4 yard QB draw.  Bruce Langer finished the scoring with a 21 yard run from his backup QB position with just under 3 1/2 minutes remaining.  Jeff Schebler kicked 3 FG's, with a long of 41, in addition to being 4 for 4 on XP's. Warhawks improved in the penalty area with only 6 for 45 yards, a vast improvement over the regular season.

Off to take the show on the road to the west coast. Congrats young Warhawks on a good performance.  Good luck next week.
