Great win HAWKS.  Very dominating performance...it seems to me the Hawks just know how to turn it in on when its play-off time.  Anderson looked phenominal, it will be very hard to keep him off the field.  Williamette doesn't stand a chance...Hawks 43 WC 13!!

Since you have no team in Round 2, you can ask such a question, Roop.

Technically I suppose you are correct BoBo. I'm a Beloit fan but the MWC still has a team in the round of 16. And I did predict a 63-8 Whitewater win next week.

I'm not trying to fight, I only asked a question.

After gaining 76 yards on their first drive, 10 via penalties, the John only managed 73 net yards the rest of the day.  Now I understand what the John supporters were saying when they talked about their offensive struggles this season.

Dominating defensive performance by the WARHAWKS.  I'm not smart enough to spot the adjustments Coach Borland made with his defense but they worked like a charm.  Their QB option, draw and seam passes worked exceptionally well on their intitial drive but that was it.  The John defense was on the field for a long time and it really wore them down.  By the finish they were a shadow of the unit we saw for the first half.

Nice to chat with you again Raiderguy.  I guess the game didn't play out to the low scoring, defensive dominated game I thought it might.  Actually that doesn't bother me a bit.  I love it when I wrong like that.  :)

My hunch is that Wartburg will take Monmouth down but we can't get ahead of ourselves.  It will mean nothing if we fall to Williamette.  I know the staff isn't thinking about anything but Williamette.  We're undefeated on the road and have traveled well so the location of the game doesn't concern me that much.

Great start but we need to stay squarely focused on our next opponent and not look down the road any further than next Saturday.   Fortunately that's one thing this staff and team have been pretty good at this year.

Congrats to the John on their conference championship and season.  Good luck in the future.  The only question I have is will Gags coach longer than Joe Paterno?  ;)

Who's WC?  You're looking to go against Woo from WU!  I think the Bearcats have more than a chance!

Boy did #13, Jay Hancock, stand out on special teams yesterday for the Hawks...making tackles and blasting through or over Johnnie blockers on the kickoff!

I' m surprised he doesn't play linebacker instead of full back

Hey Warhawks, I found the playbook to the "fly" offense  :D

You are in trouble because your dominating d-line and fast linebackers just make the "fly" work that much better  ;)

One aspect that may give the Warhawks a bit of advantage against Williamette on the D side of the ball is that Danny Jones ran the "fly O" in high school. Now as an assistant O coach he could help the D with game film breakdown, tendencies of the "fly" and scout team work. Just a thought.

Congrats to UWW.  Flash was right (and a darn good beer host).

stanbob

It worked for you last week so:

Flash walked into a bar and ordered martini after martini,
each time removing the olives and placing them in a jar.
When the jar was filled with olives and all the drinks consumed,
Flash started to leave.
"S'cuse me", said a customer,
who was puzzled over what Flash had done,
"what was that all about?"
"Nothin', said Flash,
"Mrs Flash just sent me out for a jar of olives!"

Everyday is payday in paradise.

What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Thanks for posting the scoring line - I had only seen the final score.

Amazing that a team could get 93 and can't reasonably even be accused of running up the score!  A&M was almost matching them TD for TD, and in a weird game like that WHAT lead could possibly be considered safe?!

Don't know what the total yardages were but the chain gang should be eligible for some kind of reward. Maybe a new pair of sneakers or some frequent flyer miles.  :) Thanks to the refs for "letting them play"
