The rent who knows

The Perk in December, how sweet it is.  Italian sausages, grilled at home, boiled in beer at the Perk for us.
Oh ya, onions and green pepper will be in there too.
The doctor will be there also, just to take the chill out.

1,014 offensive yards (unofficially):

505 WW

509 WU

Donovan 11-17-1  1 TD

Anderson  34-269 yards 3 TD's

most importantly, I think in the playoffs so far, whitewater has been keeping its penalties to a minimum. coaching staff must have stressed it after the regular season that shooting ourselves in the foot won get us back to Salem...

...can't wait to Saturday

On a side note I would like to welcome myself to the karma club! +1 all around...it's on me!

A lot of guys appeared to get banged up a various times today...with the injuries already there (Coppage), it might be an interesting week in the training room.  Time to suck it up and play like a champion.

Wartburg comes in and they did beat Point in Point so they won't be a pushover.

Yes, welcome to the haves 02 Warhawk...

...I wonder if it's the coaching staff stressing or just having outside officials call the game or a combination of both that is bringing the penalty numbers down?

Sakman...great to hear the worlds best Italian beefs are coming back to the Perk!! Way to go Hawks great win!! Antwan Anderson sure made a case to be the feature back today.  Nothing out of the normal around Whitewater...play-off time and the Hawks are dominating!!

feels good winning that one...seems like WU fans had already purchased their plane tickets to Virgina last week.  They talked like they could take on any defense that was thrown at them...well welcome midwest style football!! pounding the rock and playing stout defense wins championships, just ask Mount Union (they do it as well as anyone).  trick and deceptive plays can only take you so far.

Yeah, over 500 yards. Awful play calling by WW. Did they forget they had Jake Anderson? They should have run way more than they did. They barely got out with the win, and forced the WW defense to stay on the field way too long.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

What a game out here.  Was worth the trip.

Some missed opportunities meant the Hawks had to hold on at the end.  Willamette can move the ball.

What a great day for a game.  Oregon is very nice.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

It was a great win but I certainly wouldn't say it was "playing stout defense" .  I would say it was the O line that gets the game ball for this one.

There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook.

...they might call it boring football, you know Pound the Rock, midwest football...but it's the type of physical football that wins playoff games and gives you a change to win championships...and that's what's it all about...their style of play might look cute and pretty, but IMO it will never win on the big stage...btw, one of the best gimmicky plays of the day was the pooch punt from FG formation which led to the Warhawk safety...

From where I sat on the 42 yard line, it was never in doubt.  Whitewater looked good even in the warmups.  Most of Willamette's yardage came after the game was over.  I thought Whitewater played great.  But what do I know, I'm a Mount Union fan.  ::)

Looking ahead to next Saturday, hopefully Coppage can be back at full steam...these two backs are dynamite, kind of remind me of the Moss/Fletcher Badgers of the early 90's.  There's a strong chance if the Warhawks continue to win for them to have 2 backs over 1,000 yards on the season.  Anderson is up to 835 yards with a 7.2 average.  No rushes for loss today in 34 carries - outstanding day!!
