Be thankful that the game is at Central.  Sounds like a good dumping of snow for the MSP area.  With that and the natural grass at Bethel, it'd be nasty!

Good luck to the Dutch!  Dole out another Monkey Stomp!

Nice article in the on-line Register.

According to this article, it appears as though CIML league players DO go on to small colleges....apparently not the small colleges in Iowa. It seems as though there is a huge recruiting opportunity there....

Central played Occidental in a blizzard in 1985(?) and killed them, something like 73-0. They also played UW-Lacrosse at Jack Trice in the early 1990s because Central's field was unplayable and got beat. The funny thing about the Occidental game is that one of their coaches wore shorts to show he was intimidated. If memory serves me, he kept them on the whole game.
I also wanted to give a thumps up to the knia/krls crew. The broadcasts have been outstanding.

Roll call! In addition to Central fans, who is planning on going to the game tomorrow?

Go Dutch!!

Does anyone know if the game can be heard on kniakrls.com like it was last week?  Thanks for any help.

Thanks to all of the kind words that have been thrown our way this week.  We have a lot of fun covering this team - and we're looking forward to another fun Saturday tomorrow.

And, yes, www.kniakrls.com/streaming.html
Listen to Central College football on 92.1 KRLS, www.kniakrls.com and the KRLS app.

Dutchradio, Sportsknight(?) -- I know it's been said before, but I want to reiterate -- you guys are doing a fantastic job calling the games! Keep up the good work!

Spurrier, Didn't know the ol' ball coach knew how to run the picket fence ;D

I'm a Central grad who got his graduate degree at IU. It was a great time to be a fan at both schools, during the prime of Coach Schipper and Bob Knight.

1992.  Oh man...that sucked, too.  Those UW-L receivers killed us with slants all day on the turf.

We had a blow-out on I-80 on our way to the game, and had all of our stuff loaded in the car to go back to school.  We unloaded the packed car in the median to get the spare out...then had to re-load...and go to the game...and watch the track meet that UW-L put on.  Rough day, for sure.

PC,

Where/how can you be found tomorrow?

KXNO interviewed McMartin a few days ago and it was really good.  Seems like a great guy and deserving of Coach of the year in both 05 and 06.  Today at 4:50 if anyone is interested Coach Johnson will be interviewed and talk a little bit about the match up tommorow from the Bethel perspective.  Not sure wether to wear snow shoes, flippers, or ice skates tommorow..  I know Im not bringing a kite...

If the weather is as bad as the gloom and doom media is making it out to be, I doubt I'll be making the trip down 163. Good luck to the Dutch. If I make it I'll be decked out in Wartburg gear. Maybe I'll put a Central shirt on underneath.
On a side note. New pictures of "The W" are up.
