The option of going to a state school and being a nobody, and having .500 seasons, getting a state school degree vs. going to mount, being a star, getting a great education, and winning national championships probably has something to do with it too.

Missed beginning of the game, who gets the ball first in the 2nd?
Central deferred.

You'd think with all the DI and DIAA schools out there, the good talent would have plenty of offers.  But then again, Mount's probably not far from Pitt, Philly, Cleveland, Cincy.....lots to choose from out there!

Compare it with Central's roster - lots of kids from A, 1A, 2A, and 3A schools......seems like a lot of the 4A kids typically don't look at IIAC schools, for some reason.
I would guess it's the same thing that St John's has discovered.  You can get some good players, who could make the grade in D1 or D2, but not be stars, who want to go to school first and play football for the fun of it.

Gotta go fellas, been nice chatting with you.  Good luck to both teams in the 2nd half.  I'm sure I'll be talking to some of you next week.  You'll probably see quite a few MUC posters come over here over the next week... some of them will be serious jerks, but keep in mind that not everyone is like them.
They should have practiced harder.

Raiderfan, thanx for all the info. You certainly could have been real cocky being a supporter of the most successful program in all of college sports. Hopefully, a Central victory will bring us to Alliance next weekend. Next to get back to Bethel though.

Halftime delay is so the refs can switch into dryer clothes.  We're told it shouldn't take much more than another 10 minutes.
