Question for Dubuque fans with Austin leaving to be head coach will this hurt your recuriting. He was your recuriting guy wasn't he or was it someone else that brought all those Florida kids in. Would like to hear what you think this will do to your Offense or if it will hurt at all.
Where's Walner?
4 IIAC football championships

Figured he might be a candidate for Dubuque.

Oh, wait. He'd probably have to have a degree for that.

Are you saying Walner made it though UD with a degree?

Quite the opposite. Although, if he did, enough said.

Sorry Charlie I mean to say are you implying that Walner left UD without a degree.  I would assume your assumption is correct.

By the way what was his deal anyways?  Did he had only one year at UD and then left for FL to try and make it as a shrimp boat captian or what.

Google offers no help since his NFL tryout in April. Just think, he'd have been a model Hawkeye this year.

I did not care of basketball season in general.
Klop, As a football player from BV, I can see why you would take that position always playing second fiddle.

+k to your WH for seeing that.  I had the utmost respect and and supported BV baskeball for what it did for the institution and giving it attention.  The players however, and my support/respect for them is something I will not discuss on PP.

Klop, I just realized I went the entire holiday season without throwing a "hey bud" or "what's up stud" your way.  I thought you would appreciate the gesture (inside joke for you non-Beavers).
When it's 3rd and 10, you can take the milk drinkers, and I'll take the whiskey drinkers every time.

Brautigam had coaching contacts in Florida and Michigan back when he was coach at Mt. Senario, long before Austin was on his staff.  Jeremy Fellows has actually been responsible for many of Dubuques big recruits over the years.  Austin was a great offensive coordinator and will be missed, I just don't think it will have a big impact on recruiting.  Now of course if Dubuque takes a step back next season...which would be expected after losing such a big senior class everybody can say it was because Joe Austin was the reason.

They've known he was wanting to become a HC somewhere so I am sure they are prepared for this.  He was a finalist at an Northern Sun school last year.  It will be interesting to see who they bring in and if they will continue with the spread offense.

BOY right back at you and a little +k action due to the laugh it gave me.  Hope the holidays were good to you and yours.

I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

Are all schools back in session right now?
Call this a reach for topic of the day:
Does having a J-term have a positive or negative affect on recruiting?
Or none?
WOndering if not having kids on campus during prime recruiting time has an impact.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships
