Grainbelt.  Now that is a mighty fine choice of beer.  After a couple Grainbelts at night (bootlegged into Chicago) it does not matter what my wife says.  Life is good!

Drinking Grain Belt isn't as fun for me anymore since it's readily available in Cedar Falls, unlike Storm Lake.  Don't get me wrong, it's still my favorite, but it tasted even better when I had to take a road trip up north to get it.
When it's 3rd and 10, you can take the milk drinkers, and I'll take the whiskey drinkers every time.

Most likely doesn't have a Quaker Oats plant near by to stink up the air!!!

That's it!  I cannot stay silent anymore.  I love the smell of Crunch Berries in the morning, smells like....VICTORY!

So coocoo is actually Lt. Col Kilgore!!!  Former Air Cav officer that served in Vietnam...I knew it.

You know, there are days when it doesn't smell all that bad I have to admit.  And when the wind is right we can smell it up here in La Porte City!!!

That must mean that Heys is Pvt. Lance Johnson, since he's a surfer from California.  Might explain why you were worried that his kids could end up like Spicoli.  Like father, like son.

Heys, you must love how all of us Iowans think you Cali guys are a bunch of stoned beach bums.  Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to put on my bib overalls and go milk the cows.

I've smelled some smells in Cedar Rapids, and it smelled closer to naplam than Crunch Berries!

I don't know about napalm but it smells pretty bad and nothing like crunch berries.  I would love it if it did.

That's why you need a Nestle plant like Waverly.  Nothing helped get the Knights going more in the morning during camp then smelling that delicious chocolate across the practice fields.

Thats a bleu cheeseburger, Doolittle. The blue spots on your cheese should be cut off and discarded.

I was looking at that right as I hit the send button...then figured what the heck, most everyone wouldn't notice...except Thunderbolt!!!

Did I ever tell you the story about how I found out the hard way you shouldn't eat moldy cheese wiz???  On second thought...that's a story better left untold!!!

How many days is it untill spring practice?  As I look out my window to see a blowing snow storm outside  >:(

Just thought you'd like the two cents about the "blue" "bleu" thing.  The sign on the Maytag Farms sign (the makers of Maytag Blue Cheese) is spelled blue.  So I don't think any one is wrong on this.  If I could figure out how to post a picture I could post a picture of the Maytag sign.
No need for a picture. I can walk into my warehouse and see Bresse Bleu or Maytag Blue or Gorgonzola. Either way, the mold injected into the cheese is blue. And, another tidbit of semi-valueable information. Maytag is not only a town and a brand name, they were the first to make Bleu cheese with pasteurized milk. A process developed at one of the Iowa universities.

+k to Thunderbolt for dropin some knowledge on us!!!

Actually +k all around because it's sunny out and not so blankety blank cold outside!!!

Warmer weather makes me think of spring practice and the thought that UD will be playing in a new facility next season!!!

DutchFan2004

You might be a redneck if your wife most modest out fit is her Hooters Uniform.

One for you Walston and the Knight crowd as Hooters founder is a Wartburg alum.

Thunderbolt,

Are you a cheese salesman?

I've been in the cheese business, in one form or another, for thirty years. The last seventeen, along with my partner, buying and selling cheese wholesale. We also do a lot of cutting and packaging and private labeling for other cheese plants. Next time you go into Maytags store, buy some Deppeler Baby Swiss and help me send my son to Luther for two more years.

Thunderbolt

Back in the day, I used to deliver cheese to the Randalls stores in Dubuque, all the Hy-Vee stores in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids, Laporte City Dairy and the Pizza Pit in Ames. My first time to pizza pit, I backed the truck up to their back door only to find out the truck was about 3 foot taller than the telephone lines going into the building. Talk about cranky people. Like it was my fault E-Mail hadn't been invented yet.

I will do that.  Any way I can help an IIAC poster.  I like swiss cheese too!  ;D

Wow, 3 new head coaches in the IIAC next year.  How will this affect recruiting for  Coe?  I have no idea how recruiting works at the D-III level.
