DC1 -- we're very flattered, but I would have thought you would be itching to settle the score with SJU before putting to rest a play that happened, what, 5 years ago?  ;)

DF1,

We want it all.. First Central then SJU then another Stagg Bowl.   ;D

[COOCOO,

With the top 4 seeds in the west all   ranked ahead of any IIAC  team how in the world would you think/like about getting a home game?  ;D  You should be happy with any playoff spot.  ;)

Desertcat,

It's still too bad.  I'm not going to be able to go to an away playoff game so what's wrong with arguing to get one.  My motivations are purely selfish.  ;)
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Fannosaurus Rex

I can't believe those Linfield people want a rematch.  They must not know that Central's special teams are even better this year than they were in 2000.  Everyone knows that the fake field goal play is designed for the mud, but this year's team is good enough to do it on the plastic in the Cat Dome.

DC1 -- Mr. Miracle in the Mud, Reid Evans, is now on the coaching staff at Central.  :-*

People, the IIAC has some nice teams this year, but they would get smoked big time against Linfield or Whitewater.

Fannosaurus Rex

My memory isn't great but I don't think too many people liked Central's chances against Augustana this year.  Footballs bounce funny.  I'm pretty sure Central is 1-0 against both Linfield and Whitewater.

I'm not looking ahead or anything,  Beat the Beavers and all of that.  But it is always good to mess with the Northwest people.  They haven't had much to do all season but look forward to the play-offs and the chance to see another Central magic show.

COOCOO.

It's all right to dream but be real about. ;)

fanrex,
Now you know why?  We want to see you do it again?  ;D (NO MUD)

DC1 -- come on -- nightmares? We don't scare easily. ;)

I don't think anyone in Pella has laid away at night thinking about one play 5 years ago. I think it only plagues.....the defending national champs. Let it go. You've obviously had more success than we have in the last 5 years. I've seen Linfield play, and can attest that the Wildcats are head and shoulders ahead of everyone else in the nation. Believe me, no one disputes that -- including most wise Central fans. So, remind me again why you guys are still carrying this torch.... ??

Dutchfan1,

From all that is said about Linfield they should be #1.  But I think that Schuring, Connell, Ryals, Huisman, and the rest of the Dutch would like to find out how good they are.  Anything can happen on a given day and the Dutch are just the team to prove it.  As you say though they are focussed on the Beavers now.  What ever happens after that they will focus on.  Go Dutch.  My pics are the Dutch, Spartans, Knights and Kohawks, but not solid Kohawks I think Simpson can pull the upset it the Kohawks are looking ahead.

I am one of those Linfield fans who really wants to beat Central...I didn't lose any sleep over the miracle in the mud but I do remember having to go to work the follwoing morning and confess the whole thing to my Iowa "corn bred" boss 8) I actually felt sorry that the Central team lost that game for about 5 seconds ::) then the miralce happened.  I can laugh about it now...but I can also have fun seeing the Cats level Central this time around.  Some say that this is the best Linfield team ever...They've had a low profile this year with less games and all...but believe you me...the Cat defense is way ahead of last years and some how the offense rolls up 45 points per game before you know it happened...no big stars...just Elliot and the boys.  I don't want to see you guys humiliated...just a good solid win will do ;D

DutchFan2004

csnarnia,

With the way the NCAA does not like to spend money don't think we will be out there the first round.  I know that they Dutch players would love to play you guys.  I think they think it would be a big honor.  We'll just have to wait till Sunday and see what wisdom the NCAA has for us.   ;D

The Show

Central playoff talk is great and I'm betting BV is loving it! ;D

Pearson will be ready to roll this week and the backfield should be intact.  And Jesse Schmidt will continue to tack onto his receiving records...

Even though it'd be nice to see 2 IIAC teams in the playoffs, I'm a Buena Vista fan first, IIAC fan second.

Picks:
Simpson over Coe - Simpson's "D" takes them to .500 in IIAC play.
Wartburg over Cornell - Wartburg freshman in by 2nd quarter...
Dubuque over Loras - Undisciplined, but big play capability, why not?
Buena Vista over Central - Dutch will be crying in their (root)beer. :'(

GO CENTRAL----the Cat faithful are pulling for you Saturday --- just in case we have the opportunity to play Central  ONE MORE TIME !!!  Most of Central fans may not be so engrossed in our last meeting but the "Miracle In The Mud" game will go down in the history books at Linfield....on a positive note, as a result of that debacle we got a state of the art field and enhanced facilities (new instant replay scoreboard and all)....so if you get the opportunity to travel West this fall you'll see an entirely different field and stadium than you saw five years ago......There will be no "Miracle In The Mud" the next time we meet!  That game did spur the Catdome to the next years slogan which is still with the team today------
