All it takes is one rich hot tub salesman to pony up the $$$$ and the deal is done.

IF I were rich AND I were a salesman, you could count on me.

I design the things...and occasionally have to sit in 'em to test them.   :'(

Check with Agri-Bolt in Des Moines...the Schaeben's are good folks and might go for it.  Of course all you folks better be lining up to buy your HotSpring Hot Tubs at the beginning of the season.

With the new house, I think my backyard needs a HotSpring Hot Tub (I hear it attracts the ladies too) next fall.  Any discounts?  I'd be willing to wear purple and cheer for Cornell.

Wow a discount for a hot tub gets you to change sides.  You sell your backing pretty cheap don't you! :D :D :D :D

Discount on hot tub.  Cool summer night.  3 chicks to one dude and big bottle of captian morgan.  Your damn right that man would be wearing purple.  if mrs. klop allowed me to do that, id be selling my fanship as well :o :o :o

At my age being alone with three girls something would be purple! (probably my face after the stroke I'd have!)  ;D ;D ;D ;D

That is only if you didn't have a heart attack before the stroke! :o

Oh I still bleed Orange.  I would just be wearing a purple shirt.  I would have to hold true and cheer on the Knights...but I would be rooting for Cornell in every game except for their game in Waverly.  Maybe they would even get an at large bid into the playoffs along side the Evil Empire.

There went the hot tub.  I think Heys would want total alliance with the Rams.  The hot tub is worth at least that.   ;D ;D ;D ;D

I looked up "heaven" in the dictionary and that is exactly what it said.  I also looked up "hell freezing over"...and it said Cubs win another world series.  Well I hope the devil has his winter coat ready.  GO CUBS!

I just left a comment on Keith Murphy's blog on WHO TV about the lack of mention of Wartburgs national wrestling championship. I admitted that Waverly isn't in their viewing area, but many students from that area go to all the Iowa Conference schools. Let's see if he acknowledges the comment and maybe we can get some more IIAC coverage in all sports beyond the occasional Central or Simpson tidbit.

They seem to expand coverage acrossed the state when they want to.  I agree that with a national championship the Des Moines stations should at least mention it.

Don't hold your breath.  As much as we here on the eastern part of the state complain about the lack of IIAC coverage, KWWL and KCRG do a pretty good job of covering big happenings like that and most football games during the fall.  But the Des Moines never get to the IIAC.  As good a season as Central's football team had this year, I think the only time the DM stations showed up to shoot some highlights were the playoff games.

I dropped them a note about the BV men's basketball team as well, but to no avail.  They did mention the Simpson women.  Must have been too much time to put in that extra slide.   >:(

The central Iowa media thinks that the IIAC has only two schools, Central and Simpson. They will not cover them unless they play each other. They fail to realize that there are many central Iowa athletes with name recognition who are playing at all IIAC schools, and many people would like to hear now their careers are progressing. But since Wartburg's national championship (in a sport popular in Iowa) went unreported, I'm not holding my breath for coverage unless a lot of people demand it. It would have only taken ten seconds to recognize Wartburg's championship.

IMHO, I think we all need to write a letter to the DM media groups, blasting them for not giving the IIAC its due.

If anyone has ever seen "The Shawshank Redemption", I think we all know what Andy Duphrane did writing a letters.

On that note, I am going to draft my letter as we speak.

I agree with Klop on this one (mark it down on your calendars, folks!) -- volume is going to make the difference. Write several letters -- be persistent.

Wow Dutch im moved.  I think I feel my eyes welling up a bit and for that I might have to toss a little karma your way.  I had already came to the realization that I was your doormat to take your bad days out on.

Whatever. It's not personal -- I just tend to disagree with a lot of what you say.  ;D

Persistant letters from us and those we know as well.  Another reason that I would love to see an IIAC game of the week shown on IPTV every weekend is the snowball effect it would have on the states media.  Not only would the media be more aware of the conference through that game each week but the general public would become more aware and more of them would write letters demanding more coverage in the papers and on TV.

Plus all those media/communications majors would have a nice resume filler for themselves working on this deal!!!
