Yeah, had I known that USC didn't play any defense and took that many bad shots, I never would have put them into the Sweet Sixteen.  That said, they're the only team I had playing next weekend that's bowed out already.

GO BULLDOGS!
Having watched KSU all year, I think the game had more to do w/ Walker finally playing well than SC's defense.  When Walker plays to a high level, KSU will almost always have the 2 best players on the court (debatable last night w/ Mayo).  If Walker shows up against Wisconsin, the Badgers will have a tough time.........I'm betting he won't and Wisconsin wins 60-50.

I'm on the Drake bandwagon -- Go Bulldogs!!

By the way, did I hear correctly that Keno Davis was named National Coach of the Year? Drake fans should be proud!
A pessimist is a man who feels that all women are bad. An optimist hopes so.

No pads, no game. Only thing different than what they can normally do is that coaches and a ball can be there at the same time.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

But a great game :)

Just drove down University past campus, there is a 6inch deep river of tears streaming out of the campus heading west down University.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

If Willis does leave Wartburg for St. Cloud how do people on here see it turning out for Wartburg?

I have always thought of Wartburg as a school that did a good job of realising that a strong athletic department was a great advertisement for the school and helped everywhere from alumni giving high student counts and everything else.

I have in the past thought Luther thought the same way but I hear now there is an element of the faculty that feels Luther should push themselves as a music school and their athletic teams don't seem to be as dominant as they once were in the conference.

Is there a block at Wartburg that might not feel strongly about athletics at Wartburg?  Replacing Willis could potentially be a big hire.  Hire a good candidate that works well with the school administration as well as the community and continues to hire good coaches and gets them good budgets and Wartburg, with its facilities could be a conference power in most every sport and really finish strong every year in the directors cup.  I hope there isn't a group at Wartburg that sees dumb jocks when they think of atheletes and moves to push athletics into the background.

What is the consences on this board for which way Wartburg will head if Willis leaves to get back into coaching?  Whether is is for St. Cloud or some other school in the near future.

Gary Grace is still at Wartburg as a VP. He was the AD that pushed Wartburg athletics into more national prominence.
Some of the greatest minds at Wartburg (and I'm sure at other IIAC's) are also athletes. I remember sitting at the honors convocation and realizing that most of the top 40 in our class were also athletes.

Something that is probably true at most schools.  Something that probably should have been brought to the attention of the BV faculty when they published "100 years of Meatheads" because they were jealous of the attention the BV football team was getting during the schools 100 years of football celebration.

Happy Easter to everyone.

And for Purple Heys, it's snowing outside the doolittle house right now!!!  Just a dusting though.

footballdaddy

I second the Easter wishes to everyone.

Last night, I decided to grill for the first time this year for footballkid and his friend. Ended up standing outside tending the grill in a snow shower.
NKD: "We need a f**king touchdown, excuse my French"
FBD: "I didn't know touchdown was French."

Christ has risen! He has risen indeed, Alleluia!

Happy Easter.
