Hey are there two teams left playing football?  I was just wondering.  Where has warttrainer been?

Sure -- Go Central! Go Coe!

CooCoo,

That's a great thought, but as you said the money thing is kind of the troubling thing.  If you take up a collection he might do that.  Cause if he takes a semester off those student loans will come due and he'll need the money to start repaying them.   :D  So if you want him to get that extra year of football maybe pass the hat in MN this weekend.

Ashton on the front page.  How 'bout them Kohawks.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Dutchfan 2004,
I think Tekippe has six months to get back to school before his loans come due.  If he takes one summer class and three classes in the fall he can string it out two more years.

CooCoo,

That was great to see him on there.  I hope he has a big day. I don't think anyone it taking the IIAC seriously this year.  Do you?  I know that we haven't made alot of noise lately in the tourney.  I'm hoping that we can make some heads turn this year.  You have to take 12 hrs to be a full time student or your loans come due. So taking the spring off and only taking one summer class your loans will come due before the fall semester starts.

Coocoo-
What was the temp like today in CR.  Did coe practice inside?  It's was 20 here in moorhead and a bit windy.  Heard it's suppose to be in the 40's come saturday.

Coe was getting on a bus last I heard.  Starting their journey to Fargo.

All Right Guys, it's playoff time.  I just wanted to chime in late with a long overdue congratulations to the Dutch for making it in.  They definitely deserved a spot.

In 2002, Wartburg had Johns Hopkins to thank for clearing the way. (it's a long story)
In 2003, Simpson had East Texas Baptist to thank for clearing a spot.

And in 2005, I honestly think Central would have made a spot anyway, but if the Dutch want to thank anyone, they should thank....Texas Lutheran.  TL beat Hardin-Simmons to clear open another spot (Mary Hardin-Baylor got into Pool A).

The Regular Season Pick 'em has come down to this:

Dutchfan1 - 26
Lance Harbor - 26
Charlie Kohawk - 26
(The Show finished with 25 b/c he picked Simpson and BV to win last week ???)

Do you know what that means?
We're going to Overtime

DF1 and Charlie K - We'll all three of us pick the first round of the West Region bracket.  Most games correctly picked wins.  If we still have a tie, we'll pick the second round games.

If you have picked the games in D3Football.com tourney pool, those can count as your picks, if you want.  Otherwise go ahead and post 'em.

It's been a great season.  Let's keep it rollin' in the playoffs.
Go Dutch!! Go Kohawks!! Represent.

Warthog,

That's a great story!

Good luck to the IIAC in the playoffs. No injuries.

Just wanted to wish the Dutch and Kohawks luck this weekend.  Make the IIAC proud.

OK, this bracket was relatively easy to fill out:

First round:
Linfield over Occidental
Concordia over Coe (sorry KoHawks)
SJU over Monmouth
Central over UW-WW

Second round:
Linfield over Concordia
SJU over Central (I hate this pick.)

Third round:
Linfield well over SJU

Linfield takes the West by storm.

Much as I like dreaming of a Central at Coe quarterfinal game, the pressure of winning the pickems title forces me to pick with my head instead of my heart. Round one winners from the west -- Linfield, Whitewater, St. John's and Coe.

For those wondering, Coe practiced outdoors in low 30s yesterday before beginning the journey to Moorhead. After spending the night in Northfield, they were to finish the trip today and get a practice in at The Jake.

Good luck Dutch and Kohawks! Make us all proud.

I have a feeling that we are in for an epic battle saturday.  I think Coe's offense is ready to put it all together and will wear down the Cobber defense.  The Coe offense has the potential to beat any DIII team.  Especially when combined with their defense.  Look for a Kohawk victory in the first round.

Go Kohawks. :o

As far as the playoffs go, I think Coe has a legitimate shot at a first round victory.  Coe has an explosive offensive, and if the defense manage can to slow the rush attack the Cobbers will be sunk.  As far as Central goes, they just are not good enough to match up with the Warhawks.  They've put up over 40 points/game and their RB has bigger numbers than Schuring in only 9 games.  They also have a very strong passing attack throwing for a total of 2851 yds and and 27 tds.  UW-W's closest game was against then #10 LaCrosse winning by 6.  Other than that no one was within 14 and neither will Central.

Coe     27          Concordia     24

Central     14        UW-W       35
