Anyone see that Brannen played the whole second half for the Barnstormers this weekend??  I think he had 1 passing TD and 1 rushing TD.  You can watch those games online and I caught a little of the first half and the whole second half.  He looked a little jittery in the pocket but was throwing some pretty good balls.  If you guys can't tell I do not feel like doing any work today.

Join the club...Cubs are in a rain delay right now and they probably won't start for another hour or so.  Looks like the last four hours of work will be in front of the TV.

I am sitting about 10 block south of Wrig working away in my office.  Needless to say my mind is wandering quite a bit.  I have been listening to the radio people, messing around on cubs.com, and praying that they get this game on the road so I have something to listen to.

+k to all Cubs fans for this is the 100 opening day since the last world serries.

+k to you for actually working when you are just 10 blocks south of Wrigley.  Zambrano opens up the season with a strikeout...I have a good feeling about this year!

I have tickets for Saturday and Sunday, so I its not like I am going without, but I still wish I was bombed off Old Styles at this point in the day.

Big Z looking pretty good with three strikeouts through 2.1 innings...

I've decided this is a "clean the office" day.  So I am on here about as often as I change light bulbs, dust, vacuum, move filing cabinets and so on.

If you can watch the Cubs while getting the office cleaned that would be a good day ;D

There were some games that might have been all of the student body that was at the game.  Speaking of which, did anyone else go from a ridiculously successful high school team where football was king (Grinnell for me) to a college where not only were your records worse, but I can't recall a single home game in college that would've touched our home crowds in high school.  Or anybody else go the opposite way, bad high school, good college?

For my kid it was the opposite from a ridiculously bad high school to a very good college team.

There are some good players on poor teams.  I think there are many kids that could play college ball but come from bad teams and they don't try to play or get recruited.

4 - Jess Schmidt:  BV's all time receiving yardage leader.

Sorry I posted this on Saturday, but figured I would throw it back into since we were on the 4's.

Thought I'd repost my response as well:

4 - Number of times I ever saw Schmidt in the weight room while he was playing at BV.  He became a regular when it was time to get ready for the combine, however.  I can't imagine how good he could have been if he'd have had a better work ethic in the offseason.
