I've heard from multiple people that going to Hoover Dam was a huge waste of time.  Unless you're a really big fan of engineering or big walls of stone that block water, I don't think its worth it.  Plus between the admission costs and the gas to get down there, you'd probably be able to "invest" that money at a table of some sort in Vegas and possibly earn some of it back.

SK you use the term "invest"  very loose don't you.  If I am going to truly invest I will talk to WH.   ;D  If it wasn't for the Dam I don't think there is a reason for me to go to Vegas.  Maybe see all the lights on the strip.  Gambling just does not trip my trigger.  I work to hard to earn my $ to let it go on a table.   ;D ;D ;D

04 you vastly underestimate the attraction of Las Vegas.  Between the restaurants, the shows, world-class nightlife and so many other things, its a lot more that just gambling and whores anymore.  Although they still have plenty of both (or so I've been told).  There are also a ton of tremendous golf courses in the area.  You could do a lot worse as far as vacation destinations go.

Purple Heys

Heys Jr. and roommate are back home here in SoCal...first day back it's out to the beach and 2 hellacious sunburns.

Roommate shaves his head...bad move...even his dome, now redder than Central's home jerseys, needed the Aloe rub.   8)

Here's our number 5...

I believe that was at SW MN State in the opening game of the 2001 season.  I will need to check my records to confirm the final score.

Congrats to Coach Miller on that!  They were VERY GOOD this year and dominated the sport even though I thought Augsburg might have been the preseason #1.

How bad do some UNI people wish Miller would have taken that job over the past decade or so?  Or other Iowa Conference coaches?

The Hawk wrestlers were a nice group to follow this winter as well!

Norse Basketball?  Not so much.
