Klop, on the subject of dogs, if you appreciate my humor, then we're both sick puppies! ;D ;D ;D
NKD: "We need a f**king touchdown, excuse my French"
FBD: "I didn't know touchdown was French."

I have a long standing quote with a friend of mine for days like today.  The weather outside makes me want to scratch my head with a pistol.  ;D

Yes are most likely sick puppies but that is okay with me!

IT'S SNOWING AGAIN!!!!!!

It about makes you want to go into the garage and play with a loaded revolver.

And Heys, one remark about the weather from you and we'll all be on your doorstep. If you think Heys jr. eats a lot, wait till I get there! ;D ;D ;D

As Mrs. Heys comes home to find a dozen Iowans raiding her fridge and asking how far is to the beach, she is heard to mutter to Purple Heys - "You and that damn message board or yours"  ;D

So, have some IIAC schools started their spring practice yet???

Guys and Gals, I know this is the football board, but I am noticing something very interesting/scary.

It seems like every other time I check the BV website another athletic event is post poned or cancelled due to the weather.  Baseball, softball, golf, and track.  Are other schools facing these same issues.  I assume they are due the fact all of the schools in the middle of the conference swing.

BV's baseball schedule is a wreck, I am sure the boys are itching to get out on the diamond and have a routine and a groove to get into.  They are showing more promise this season than they have in years, and they have a very young team.

If this pace keeps up the conference season will be diminished or the teams will be playing the conference tournament in July!

I only do this as a public service...85+ out here in San Diego, hotter than that up in the L.A. Area...more sun than we can handle...strike that, we can handle it.  We have an Ocean.   8)   Remember, you get what we preview for you earlier in the week.

On the food for extra guests note; just bought 4 dozen Empanadas de Res from Tito's Market in El Monte on the way back from one of the larger Prep Track meets in the country @ Arcadia.  You truly don't know what good is until you've had one (or eight) of these.

I believe Cornell is waiting until after baseball and track concludes to maximize number of attendees.

That is a quote oft repeated...  ;)

Y'know, this year is worse than last year...

Last year I started jonesing for IIAC football in late June or so.

I feel like a kid trying to go to sleep at 1:00PM on Christmas Eve.

I think there is a bit more buzz just because there is a faint glimmer that Central sans a top 5 DIII QB and a twice decorated MVP RB and the rest of the quality seniors lost to graduation...may, just may, slide them back toward the pack a bit.

Wartburg looks to line itself up as a the preseason fave, but I would not discount that Dutch Mental Toughness.

There are several of us IIAC'ers replacing productive QB's...Central seems to be the best at reloading rather than rebuilding.  Underestimate the Dutch to your own peril.

Not that the Kannigets aren't fairly loaded and ready as it were.  This should arguably be their year...Augsburg last year exposed one rough edge that they probably didn't realize they had...getting too excited to play Central that they didn't handle the task at hand.  Probably the best thing that could have happened...in the long run through this year...They may have a game where nothing goes right but it won't be because their coaches didn't play the "Remember Augsburg" card to keep them focused.

You can't leave me....all the plants will die.

So how does Purple Heys handle the situation if daughter heys gets half a dozen D-I track schollie offers but she tells the folks she'd like to go to Cornell, just like her big brother???

Yesterday, gray and cold out with snow flurries in the air.  Today, sunny and warmer!!!
