I would say 250 tops. I don't think many, if any classes have more than 60 kids in them right now.

I think Burmeister was at Iowa with Casey. I interned at KWWL while he was there and before getting to know him a little, I thought he was kind of a prick, but the guy made fun of himself a lot and really was pretty funny.

DutchLB-Boy do I have stories from the wedding. Were you there? First Irish/Catholic wedding for me and when the father of the bride has 12 brothers and sisters, and they are all together, it is quite the event. One of many cousins of the bride is a stud RB and is going to Wartburg next year so not ALL hope is lost for the family.

Was Burmeister from Waterloo?
and i think this is numero 200

Welcome to the Karma club + k for getting there.

We'll see if we can get you to maintain a double-digit karma level by kickoff, DF2004 (but you may have to stop visiting other boards or wherever you're finding the haters...)  ;)

Any update from Waverly?  I went camping in NE IA this past weekend (we had to push it back to week due to flooding) with some of the college buddies.  Bridge still out just south of Calmar.  My roommate's brother lost his house in Waverly, but I guess he is fixing up a place in Fredricksburg until insurance money comes through and he can build a new house.  How is clean-up coming along?

What about the rest of the IIAC.  I have heard lots of bad things about Cedar Rapids.  Coe did get hit a little bit correct?  Any major damages?

W-SR schools have $5.6 in damages. Irving Middle school (behind Sub-Way) may NOT be able to be used again. SE El. + Jr Hi also w/ damage. http://communitynewspapergroup.com/articles/2008/06/24/waverly_newspapers/news/doc486106f42796c711378014.txt
A report @ City Council was 2,300 tons of debris removed - thru yesterday. There is a mountain of Washers, dryers, water heaters, furnaces and Air conditioner @ HS parking lot. The Red Cross has pulled out of Player's Theatre' + W. Sunday night there was only 1 man who spent the night @ W. There are still piles of sandbags all around town. Kohlmann park is a huge sandbar with piles 6' high along 1st St. NW that was removed from the area of the park. St. Paul's church is HOPING to have worship in their building this weekend. They have used Neumann 1 weekend and the WC Chapel last week. Lastly the green bridge and rail trail bridge are still closed, all bridges will be inspected today.

If DF2K4 keeps hanging out on the Minny board it will take all of us from the IIAC throwing him karma daily to keep him in the positive!!!  But I don't think he cares!!!

We are still way behind on the number of pages compared to the MIAC, but we are looking to pass by the Northwest Conference soon.  All the posts on disasters, dog vs skunk, summer workouts, and recruiting/roofing jobs has helped keep us busy in this off season.  Can't wait to get back to talking all football once teams report for camp in less than 2 months.

the only damage from COE to report would be to the physical plant on the bottom of campus (behind the fitness center/EBY).  i dont think it is substantial.  they also had damage to some of the apartment building/complexes owned on campus (1).  they were lucky, but they are also pretty high in comparison to the river/small lake (if you can call it that) behind COE.

DAMAGES TO CAMPUS
As of this evening the damage to the college does not appear to be extensive, thanks to sandbagging efforts. About a foot of water flooded into the Regents Center racquetball courts, and one corner of the North Gym was wet but not under water. Most of the grounds on lower campus have been covered by flood water more than 48 hours, so there will likely be considerable kill of grass, shrubs and trees. There will also be damage to athletic field facilities: baseball and softball dugouts, scoreboard, fencing, etc.

I was at W-SR HS today for a football camp and I can verify that there is a HUGE pile of appliances in their parking lot. Rest of town looks much better on the outside, but I'm sure the insides of a lot of the buildings are destroyed.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

I know what you are saying.  I have gotten as high as 25 and someone or more than one are haters.  I thought even when I have posted on other boards I have been pretty bland and not picking on other people to bad.  I don't take this to serious as anyone can give negative k for any reason.  Just having this board is nice.  I think we keep this more civil between schools than most.  Sure we take our digs at each other but we know it is in jest.  Thanks to the 5 who gave me karma today.

Doolittle you guys are good to me.  I don't even pick on them up there.  I think there is a karma troll on that board who gives out negative every day.

AEN will they tear down the affected homes?  Do you think they will repair them?
With all the water in them they will need to be stripped to the studs and treated for mold will they not?  It may make for many empty lots but with two floods in 15 years can anyone afford flood insurance there?  I keep Pburg and Waverly in the family prayers.  Also the people in CR and Coe.

Has anyone done some of the matchups with the computer picking with teams.  Not all that far off from what I can see.  One surprise I saw was that the 2007 Dutch win 24 out of 25 against Linfield at home.  When the Dutch are on the road at Linfield they win 23 out of 25.  I didn't think that Linfield was that far down.  I know they didnt make the playoffs but 47 out of 50.  I wonder how this thing works.

Switch QB's for the Dutch and let's see how the games turn out then!!!  ;D

Then maybe it's 20 of 25 at home and 15 of 25 at Linfield  ;D

By the way...in the computer similation did Central still beat Dubuque with a blocked field goal that still went through the uprights in 3 OT's!!!

I think there are some people in town who hope Fema comes in and says here is X #of $ not to repair/rebuild where they are currently have homes. Others who no matter how much money they are offered NOT to rebuild will do so anyway. The school district looking everywhere for a place to move 5+6 grade classes for 2008-09.

It is 3 floods in 15 yrs. for Waverly, 1993, 1999 (4 days before Ragbrai stayed overnight in Waverly) worse than 1993 and 2008 worse than 1999. I know if I was flooded in 93 and 99 @ the same location I would not repair a 3rd time.

Thanks for the prayers.

WH - Geez you could have looked me up I would have bought you a cold one @ the Goat and given you a tour of the worse damaged parts of town.
