I thought I detected some facetiousness in the original statement. :)
I'm sorry if my last post seemed facetious.  My intent was to be hyperbolic.

big words for a football message board Coe fan

The combination will lead to something that hasn't been seen at Cornell lately
1 conference win will accomplish this.....  ;D ;D ;D

My skeptism around Cornell is based on:

0 Conference wins the last 2 years
2 Conference wins the last 4 years
0 Wins against Central the last 10 years (Combined Score of the 10 games 389-62 w/ 2 games where Cornell scored > 7 pts)
1 Win against Wartburg the last 10 years

Just hard to imagine Cornell challenging for a conference title.  Maybe they will.....but....

Cornell will have to showme too!

For the record, I'm not predicting a Conell conference title. I'm only hoping, praying and wishing for a better year and the best year possible. If it gets tough, we might have to bring in some vudo :)

Yes we must show the IIAC with getting a win first. Showme I'll say this...like I said I love your optimism and I too am optimistic of the Rams as I have been every year, but heys and I do not disappear when things start to get a little rough on here..so basically I'm saying stick around the board no matter what happens...the more support the better and also it is nice to have a good number of posters from each school.

I'll be here around the football season, during the off season, I'm with you in spirit. Don't make the assumption that I'm not committed because you don't here from me. Those close to me know I'm committed. I have active hobbies during the off season and my best input is around the season

I tend to agree.....but we could have put up similar numbers about UD 10 years ago, right? I suppose anything can happen....
A pessimist is a man who feels that all women are bad. An optimist hopes so.

You could have put up similar numbers about UD 2 years ago!!!

Just wanted to say congrats to Tommy Breithbach for being selected Preseason 2nd team All-American from D3-football for Cornerback.  This is a good award all-be-it a pre-season award.  Hopefully Coe will use him more effectivly on the offensive side of the ball this year.  He did have many great catches however with his speed he should be getting more touches.  Also he was the only IIAC player selected to the team.

Is Breitbach a WR that also plays DB or a DB that also plays WR???

Any relation to the Balltown Breitbachs resteraunt???

Why am I hungry now???

What!  Central already has to deal with that %^&% magic lawnmower that Doolittle already nearly ran to victory.  Now we have voodoo too! ::)

Tommy played some cornerback his freshman year then started sophmore year.  His fresman year we had now Offensive Coordinator Tyler Staker and Nick Hirth so he didn't really have a chance.  Started sophmore year and then started playing WR his Junior Year.

Well, I didn't mention the school Cornell beat for their 2 conference wins...maybe doolittledog can help?

So, I guess things can turn around quickly......

NEARLY being the key word there.  Losing in triple OT was harder I think then losing by 17!!!

I can't tell if last year was fun for Central fans or too nerve racking...there were a LOT of close games last year for the Dutch!!!

Hmm, I believe it is the school located at 2000 University Ave. Dubuque, IA 52001!!!  ;D ;D ;D

So if the last school for Cornell to beat in the last 4 years can turn it around there is no reason to believe Cornell can't do it as well.  They need to add some numbers to the program though.  I think they might be another year away.  If Bush comes back at qb and with some schools in the conference adjusting to new coaches...I wouldn't be stunned to see at least a couple of conference wins for the Rams this year.

Cornell played Luther and Loras tough last year.  I don't think Loras returns much and Luther is going through a coaching change.  Those might be games to circle on the Rams calendar.  BV I can't figure out.  They beat UD 35-14 and then lose the next week 14-3 to Simpson.  Maybe the Rams could steal one there as well.
