Here is some irrelevant news about footballers going from Illinois to Iowa.  The coach of my high school, Hinsdale Central, in Illinois has taken the Cedar Rapids Washington job.  All you IIAC coaches may want to contact him about possible recruits from his old school.  Every kids parents at Hinsdale Central can afford an IIAC education and pay cash.  Not to mention that 98% of the graduates from Hinsdale Central go on to graduate from a four year college.  I'm telling you every IIAC would benefit from recruiting Red Devils!

p.s. the same goes for the New Trier Trevians and the St. Charles Saints, and probably Barrington and Homewood-Flossmoor.  Rich parents and great students, sounds like the IIAC's dream.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

I know Loras has a coach that recruits Hinsdale. I called up there to see what they knew about him. Sounds like this guy is a hell of a football coach.

Any word on the BV coaching situation?

Charlie Kohawk -- I see that Coe is looking for a SID -- are you out of a job? ;)

LOL, I love all the concern on this board for my employment status, but I won't be leaving Coe anytime soon. Our SID, however, who has at times been unfairly criticized here, is moving on to Division I athletics. I think that speaks quite well for the job he has done. Applications to fill the big shoes he's leaving behind are now being accepted.

...and I apologize.  Obviously he knows what he is doing.  Congratulations to Brian.  Just curious where he is going.

Charlie,
If you see Brian around campus before he heads out, let him know that I say congrats.

Maybe the next Coe SID will acknowledge that in fact Cornell won that football game played back in 1902! Congratulations Brian, I know you'll enjoy Madison.

Okay, DuHawks - was that the correct answer?   I know the "Natural Born Thrillers was correct, but were the other two backs Coy and Lovins?   I know Coy was one of them - Lovins was the white kid, right?

I think the real thriller at that time was a kid we had at Central called Kacmarynski.  But i'm biased because I got to block for him.

Charlie Kohawk

Bryan (note spelling) doesn't post here for obvious reasons, but he sends his appreciation for the well-wishes. To ram_this he responds, "66-63!"

What are the obvious reasons? Didn't stop his predecessor.

I remember seeing before the 3 backs and their total yardage for the '97 season. What kind of scheme did Loras run to utilize those 3 backs?
