I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

SprtKnight, AEN, etc.

I hope to see everyone Saturday.  Pregame may depend upon the weather.  That is the nice part of having Little Warthog in town now.  If the weather is crappy we'll just wait until game time to head over to campus.

Assuming the weather is nice as predicted we hope to be camped out by the pine trees near Lot "O" or over in the park.  Just look for the black/orange flag.  Peacock Warthog called and said he got the annual supply of Orange/Black Oreos at the Cedar Falls Hy-Vee this afternoon.  Black/Orange M&Ms are packed.  The Knight head is ready.  Tomorrow I'll pick up some Hub City brew and Pepsi products.  Mrs. Little Warthog has a birthday Saturday.  Hopefully we'll have both a birthday and victory to celebrate.

I hope to run into Ben's little brother to hear about his summer with the Green Bay Packers.  Any internship there would be a neat experience, but I assume this summer was even more eventful.

I suppose I am ok with our current weather...as long as it isn't 25 and snowing by mid October  :o

I had to wear a sweatshirt during my walk tonight...a bit early for that I think...but then again, this feels like football weather!!!

I would say that this is the type of weather I remember when I was growing up.  September is supposed to be cooling down and you do wear sweaters or sweat shirts this time of year.  Not that I want snow and ice to come but fall is supposed to be cool not 95 degrees in November.  The game in 2004 on November 6 at BV was a heat wave. I remember getting a sunburn at that game not even wearing a sweater.  The game the next week in Cornell was a warm one as well.  Usually by middle of November we had a snow when I was young lately we have still had indian summer.  So getting back to some fall weather is a good think IMHO.

Well this isn't a bad tailgating experience but a bad experience for the future MRS DF2004 and I when dating.  We went to an Iowa game in 1978 and sat near the student section and had about 4 students puke in the stands from being bombed out of their gourds.  That was not fun :o :o :o :o

Bad tailgating experience:  Columbia, Missouri: Folsom Field.

Ten middle aged, old coot, Cyclone fans pull the motor home into the parking lot between the basketball arena and the football stadium.  We had the forsight to bring a designated driver, so the Bloody Mary breakfast started soon after crossing into Missouri down by Argyle, Iowa.  Being full of vodka was mistake #1.  Mistake #2 was parking next to some UM students known as "The Antlers".  They had cause a problem at the ISU/UM  basketball game the previous winter when they shouted insults at Jeff Grayer about is terminally sick mother.  You may remember Jeff went into the stands to discuss the matter and Missouri coach, Norm Stewart, went ballistic on the students.  Lets just say vodka made the old coot Cyclone fans nearly as mouthy as the UM Antlers.  Interestlingly enough the UM campus security and Columbia Police Dept. were helpful is defusing a situation where I could have easily got my nose broken.  The good news was ISU won big and the neighbors were gone when the game was over.  I think the police must have hung around because we had no damage to the motor home.

Good luck to everyone on the pick'em contest.

I'll not be participating since I understand I would get defeated soundly every week.  :'(
A few years ago I had the enthusiasm of ShowMe when it came to making weekly picks.   ;D
Like ShowMe I lost nine time out of ten.  >:(
Eventually I figured it out, I couldn't compete.  ;)
