Airborne Dutch

3 yard rush by Veldhuizen and the XP makes it 34-0 Central. Dutch now have more points than Lakeland has yards.

Nevermind I found the broadcast.

Matt Peary is 16/25 for 222 yards and 2 TD's.  Sounds like hes having a nice game in college debut!

Airborne how has Bandow been playing since the first serries?

Sounds like the Dutch are keeping it pretty close to the chest in the second half. Bandow had a great 3 play series early in the second quarter. Right now he is just handing the ball off. The announcers are speculating that the subs will be in shortly and the reason for the vanilla offense is because they don't want to give Wartburg too much film for their matchup in two weeks  ;D ;D ;D

Start of th 4th quarter and the Beavers are still up 14-0.  They just had a nice defensive stand on 4th down.

Dutch defense is all over Lakeland today. Sophomores Lackey, Wong, and Van Arkel are the names that are standing out.

Not much of a passing game to speak of, but Hardman and the fresh FB carrying the load.  Rams score up 23-20 with little over 2 mins left in 3rd Quarter

BV hurting themselves.  Just got an interception than fumbled it to give it back to them.
You have ONE advantage over me.....you can kiss my a$$ and I can't!!

And now a platteville TD 14-7 with 12:52 to go

WH whats the update on the Knights.

Sounds like the Rams are in dog fight with Grinnell as well as BV has a ball game to close out themselves.

Dutch are bringing in the younger players. Beat Wartburg shirts are going to be in at the Sports Page shortly.

Backup QB Brandon Estabrook with a fake hand off and run around the end making it 41-0 with the XP with less than a minute to go.

Lakeland has spent 18 seconds in Central territory. Any other scores?

Final from Pella, Central 41 Lakeland 0. First shutout for the Dutch since the final regular season game against Simpson in 2006. Dominating win today, but it could be costly with the injury to Snead. Defense sounded like it was in the backfield all day and Lakeland couldn't get anything going. On the offensive side, it was well over 200 yards on the ground between all the rushers. Some opening day jitters with penalties and what not, but its gonna be a helluva matchup in two weeks.
