....Luther uniforms, helmets, logo..

The helmets of the 50's were gold with a Norseman logo on  each side.  The change to white came gradually as they could afford to buy new ones.  Numbers on the helmets came later.
I have never cared for the current logo as was painted on the 50 yard line and is the Norse current logo.  It looks too much like a cartoon character of the comic page.  The U of Iowa changed its logo from a chicken hawk to its current logo.  Good change....shows more aggression.  Luther should do the same instead of being a comic character.

They just need to tweek it

Go Norse! Rockets!

Nice work! +k for making me laugh.

Carroll High does a decent job of "ripping off" the Bears...

Kind of like Waukee "ripped off" Wisconsin a few years ago?

I think Carroll actually pays a small royalty fee to use the Chicago Bear "C".

This is so touching -- I feel like I am witnessing history in the making. A Spartain and a Duhawk making friends publicly? Oh, it almost brings a tear to my eye, it's so beautiful.... ;)

Next thing you know Dutchie will be telling us she's getting married to a Simpson alum  ;D ;D ;D

I knew a woman who dreamt she was married to a Simpson man.  It finally stopped when she got her dog trained not to jump on the bed.

I dated a guy from Simpson once -- let's just say that I'll never make that same mistake again. A girl's gotta have standards. ;)

As I am sure you we would be amazed at what they might tell you regarding their personal lives.  My mother is a teacher and some of the stuff she says the kids tell her is off the wall.  I can see it being a bit more relaxed in your football setting.

HOUSTON, we have a problem.

I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

One you get past the guy talking at the beginning, you can check out highlights from Loras' game against Monmouth.

I am a loyal Chicago Sun Times reader over here and I have to admit that they do a nice job with the small colleges.  They dedicate one page per week to talking about the small colleges.  They talk about teams on the rise, and what players are making an impact.  There was a nice article in the paper today regarding an NAIA program out of Joliet that had 28 kids a few years ago and now is playing really well.  Maybe the DM Reg should take a lesson from them?

You're starting to see some Grandview coverage from the Rag...we will see if that drops off once the losses mount up for them.  Simpson and Central will get a bit of coverage but that will be about it.  The days of the Register being Iowa's newspaper are long gone sadly.

Agreed they barely cover state wide HS football any more. We take the Sunday paper only.  If it we not for the Ads and some sports coverage on Sunday I think for me anyway we could drop that too.  With readership and subscriptions dropping you would think they would try to do some things to increase it rather than keep driving readers away.  With the left bent to the paper they could do other things to increase it like beef up sports coverage that are not politically driven.

Have Sam Zell buy the newspaper and turn it into a Sun Times formatt.  You can read it like a magazine.  Its outstanding.  Go for more artlices with less words.  I love that as well.  It makes it easier.  The Register can get a bit wordy with their featured articles and loose peoples interest.

Haha, I wish I had a football guy type look to me like this guy. Unfortunately, I'm the little 5 foot nothin, 100 and nothing guy you see on the sidelines with a camera.

O, and no clue why Loras trotted out the white jerseys. I was wondering if monmouth's aways were red (home maybe being black) and too close in color to the purple, but looking at their website that doesn't seem to be it.
