Doolittle must have to many appointments.  Everyone else is busy working so they can have the weekend free to catch all the good football.  Its Friday for me people.  Tomorrow get to fly the friendly skies to Cali and visit #4 son with #1 son.  Hopefully get to meet Purple Heys and eat some of this famous Mexi food of his.  Maybe even get started on the recruitment of Heys #3.   ;D ;D ;D ;D

Heys you might as well have the joys of an IIAC house devided by two different IIAC schools alums.  Makes a great time for family get togethers.   ;D ;D ;D ;D

The Wartburg education is paying off for #2 son as he has on his current OBGYN rotation now delivered his 5th baby.  He is working lots of hours and is happy.

....Luther uniforms, helmets, logo..

The helmets of the 50's were gold with a Norseman logo on  each side.  The change to white came gradually as they could afford to buy new ones.  Numbers on the helmets came later.
I have never cared for the current logo as was painted on the 50 yard line and is the Norse current logo.  It looks too much like a cartoon character of the comic page.  The U of Iowa changed its logo from a chicken hawk to its current logo.  Good change....shows more aggression.  Luther should do the same instead of being a comic character.

They just need to tweek it

Go Norse! Rockets!

Nice work! +k for making me laugh.

He better get used to lots and lots of hours if he wants to stay in OBGYN.  My sister is an OBGYN.  She is considered part-time and she works around 60 hours per week.

DF2K4...
My internet connection has been kind of funky lately so I may not get my pick posted until tomorrow afternoon or Saturday morning, but they will be there.

Throw in some private QB tutoring from Tim and you may have a deal...of course there could be a danger that UofR Coach Maynard makes Timmy keep his new protege' for the Bulldogs.

;D
You can't leave me....all the plants will die.

Purple Heys

I wonder...are the Spartans flying out today to arrive Thursday or do they Fly in Friday?

That extra day to acclimate could make all the difference.

Flying dehydrates.  Redlands is dry, so you don't seem to sweat...it dries off you before you know it...I could see DBQ kids cramping up.

Would be shame to lose opportunities that way, when playmakers are debilitated.

I think someone posted earlier that the Spartans flew out on Thursday.

Yes, the Spartans flew to Redlands thursday.  Hopefully they play better than how I suspect the Buckeyes will fare against the Trojans that same night  ;D

Also, I hope they are drinking lots of water and eating bananas...not loads and loads from El Burrito!!!

Didnt know that Redlands was ranked #25....UD could get some votes if they win?

Just wait, 5 Words.  When the Rockets of Luther play the Rams of Cornell it will be a blood bath of mythic proportions...............as long as Luther doesn't play as the Rockettes as they have sometimes done.

The Dubuque Telegraph-Herald has Dubuque beating Redlands in their pick-ems.

http://www.thonline.com/article.cfm?id=215553

They also have Loras losing...they are usually such Loras homers in the past they probably would have had the Duhawks beating Da Bears

Last week they went 8-2 in their pick-ems...one of their misses was picking Loras to beat Monmouth.
