D306, thanks for the information.  Central did graduate a really talented class last year, including two conference MVP's.  We are young and learning, but appear to be learning quickly.  I wouldn't count on being able to power run against Central too easily, we tend to defend the run pretty well.  Our punter is a terrific athlete who sometimes plays at receiver.  Last year's conference MVP QB graduated, we have a soph calling most of the plays.  Two of our QB's are injured and one starts on defense and plays special teams, but also takes a few snaps in certain situations.  Our kicker is very good, missed a couple of key FG's last week, but one was partially blocked.  Wish I could be there tomorrow.  It's a wierd way to start, playing one game, having a week off, playing the conference favorite to start conference play, then playing non-conference the next week.  I'll be glad to get back to regular conference games the week after.  Glad we don't have an off week again, but it seems like this year is stop/start stop/start.     :(

WEEK #3
Central @ Albion:  The Dutch against the Britons?  As an Irishman, I can honestly say I don't really care for either of 'em.  Britons have awful teeth and an undeserved sense of superiority.  The Dutch have a city where pot and hookers are legal.  I don't know what either of those things have to do with football, but Central has the better team.

who's going to the bon fire tonight?
I was scheduled to be there, but missed it because they started earlier than advertised. Hopefully, it's the only fumble of the weekend. Talked to at least one of your classmates though. Shaping up to be a fun weekend.

Also, telling my wife that the beavers/trojans matchup wasn't near as dirty as the old BV/UIU matchups was met with a blank stare from her.

Whats wrong with having a city like this?

Walston,

Congratulations on the big win.  That has to help you get a picture of your team and their capabilities.

Got the Wartburg video going.  Cornell goes down and scores on what I assume is their first drive.  Looks like the Rams are taking a page out of the Augsburg playbook.  They used a lot of quick passes and misdirect runs to move the ball pretty well.

Wartburg kick return goes to Cornell 40.

Dubuque snags a FG after missing a chip shot on the previous drive.  Poor clock management cost them a shot to try and score a TD.
