I just gotta say this...

Every time I hear or read, Luther, I get the mental image of Jerry Van Dyke...

Coach Luther Van Dam

(Why doesn't the creative Luther fan use that as his posting picture?)

;D

I always enjoyed that show.  Not near as much, though, as the Wartburg football player I went to school with that named his dog "Dauber."

we nicknamed a guy on the team "Dauber" because he looked exactly like him.  I'm sure that guys 2 or 3 years younger then him didnt know his real name.

is it 3:30 yet?

Are you a teacher???

On fridays I am normally excited for the weekend...and football to get here.  With apple picking in my immediate future.  I'm not so sure I am ready for kickoff tomorrow >:(

Wart fans,
I heard the the president of Gustavus is going to be in town for "The W" dedication tomorrow.

You've been informed/warned.

Happy Homecoming Knights.

Good to hear.  Hopefully he still has that orange blazer in his closet somewhere and will be bringing it out tomorrow.

I think I'd rather have the Luther bandwagon run me over.

I'll cheer for them over BV, and then hope for them to lose every game the rest of the year.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

We'll take all the help we can get, one week at a time.

Despite my hate for Luther with the big rivalry from college, I will admit I am a big Durnin fan.  Really liked the way he coached at UWL.  So I have been pulling for Luther all year (except against Wartburg).  Pretty sure I even made some pre-season picks to finish near the top.  I will have to go back and take a look.

Having looked back I picked Luther to finish at 5 in the conference.  But to show you how little I really know I picked BV to finish dead last (and Loras 6th or 7th).  That isn't going to happen so I am WAY off.

Don't feel bad about being off on your picks, I had Luther-BV-Loras as 6-7-and 8th. Thats not looking to smart right now either. And don't feel bad about being a closet Norse fan either. I suspect sportsknight is as well.

You probably can't get into Storm Lake with anything much wider can you?
And where the heck is Klop. I'm a little disappointed to not have a few barbs from him this week.
