SHowme was probably a freshman on Cornell's team that realized what he was getting into shortly after the first game. One of those young'ens that thinks since they are going D3 that it is beneath them and very easy.
Oops.
Roll Call for a Monday night.
What's everyone got on the tube tonight?
Chuck for me
2 1/2 men, then CSI Miami.
First time I've been home at this time on a weeknight since early August and its been fun playing with my girls and watching the 5:00 news. I've been told the 4-legged table in our dining room is used for meals in the evenings as well so I will probably find out what happened on Sesame Street today and see the "little hangy ball thingy" in the back of my daughter's throat that she likes to show everyone now.
SK and Knightlife06 will like this-She has dropped the Fbomb at appropriate times this weekend. No idea where it came from, but we try to ignore it as we chuckle.

TIVO or DVR "Worst Week"

I can't explain it, but I roared at least week's episode.

The poor sap who plays the lead is hilarious while putting himself in some of the most hiliarious jams.  The fun of it is you can see the train wreck that is going to occur no matter what this dude does, he can't get out of the way...all he does is make it worse.  :D
You can't leave me....all the plants will die.

Showme will now forever be called "He who shall not be posted about" by true Cornell Fans.

TV for me tonight will be turning on football for all of about 15 seconds before my son yells "I don't like football...put on Bob the Builder" I'm not sure if I should be concerned or not :-\

My wife will be at a pre-school board meeting so the kids are solely my responsibility tonight.  Hopefully nothing breaks in the house while the boss is gone.

WH, did your daughter learn to throw around the F-bomb while watching ISU games???  Sorry, I had to do that  ;D

I have all those episodes on DVR right now but have yet to watch them. Maybe with more time now that football is over I will check it out.

I swear I've never used it at home and she's been home with my wife the last 12 weeks on maternity leave.
My wife got mad when she picked up "shoot' during the early part of the season so I am very careful.

I don't like hearing how Coe has played well on the road ... especially since they are on the road this Saturday against UD.

GO SPARTANS!

Coe hasnt played "good" on the road... they've played not as bad.

Good perspective.  Thanks.

GO SPARTANS!  Beat Coe.
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

:D  On the bright side, its only a word to her right now.  Once she gets older and starts to understand its context (hopefully not too well), it'll be a different story.

I'm watching "The Big Bang Theory" right now while dinner cooks and will stay on CBS for "How I Met Your Mother."  After that, not sure what will be illuminating from my TV.

I would not let that worry you.  I come from a long line of tradesmen and my childhood was spent on a construction site not on an athletic field.  I was 8 years old before I picked up a baseball and 10 years old until I really picked up a football.  My days were spent building things in the garage and helping out the old man.  Once my friends started playing sports I asked to play and it went from there.

Coming from someone who doesn't, I would guess that having some mechanical know-how will serve Lil Doolittle much better in the long run than being a great athlete will.

A more honest assessment of this season is that Loras is probably just a little bit better than Coe.
Yes, judging by how the rest of things played out.

To add my 2-cents worth ... it seems to me the Coe-Loras game was decided long before that last play when Coe "let" Loras stay in the game for far too long.

GO SPARTANS!  Beat Coe.
Though their final call was the biggest blunder, that crew made plenty of weak calls all day:  2-3 roughing the passer calls on Coe (give me a break), one of Coe's coaches is kicked out of the game (for what??),  a sideline penalty on Coe (when they are supposed to give a warning first-while the Loras coach is OUT ON THE FIELD), the Loras QB ditched the ball 2-3 times and the refs called them incomplete passes-but there was NOBODY there.  The list goes on... This was definitely a turning point in the season-in my opinion.   Interestingly enough, some Loras fans that were near us afterward agreed that they had been awarded a "gift" from the officials.  Yeah, I guess you had to be there.

If he was outside the tackle box (he wasn't, duh!)then he can throw it to the north poll for all the refs care, its still an incomplete pass.  Still sour grapes on the ref crew huh?  Write a letter to the commish (did that), write a letter to editor (didn't have to, he agreed with me), write a letter on a billboard and post it on I-80 (would if I could afford it.), griping on here gets you nowhere.  Just stating the facts.
You sound alittle "testy" today, K.  Go ahead and take out your frustrations on me if you want.  I have broad shoulders.  I understand you're feeling bad after Saturday.

Did you state that you were outside of the tackle box?  I was correcting your mistake.  Let me guess, exerise science major?   No you left that door open for us to run through.  Odds are you are sitting at your desk saying wow that was a stupid comment I made.  Lets find a way to cover it up and make myself look educated in the football community.

Testy, no this is how I am on a daily basis.  I am uptight, out of sight, in your eye kind of guy.

kohawkfan,

5 of 16 seniors are exercise science majors.  Seeing as exercise science is one of BV's most popular majors, I don't think that's an inordinate number among athletes.

Also, as an exercise science major, let me guess that you're one of those DBs who thinks they know all there is to know about fitness because you read "(insert random demographic)'s Health" every month.  I read the Wall Street Journal every day, but that doesn't mean I could manage a hedge fund.  Get a life.
When it's 3rd and 10, you can take the milk drinkers, and I'll take the whiskey drinkers every time.
