Okay, I think I have finally had enough to drink to do this.  It seems like a hip hop kind of thing so let me get my Central freshman beanie at just the right angle, polish up my bling, and turn up the mix on my boom box.
Yo momma aint got no socks ( I didn't know!)

I was there when she took them off ( I didn't know!)

It was out in Indianola ( I didn't know!)

Where they don't know $h*t from Shinola (Oh, oh, oh, oh I didn't know know know know I didn't know)

Old Dutch,

What is up with the picture of the 5 dudes under your name?  At first I was going to guess it was
New Kids on The Block but I don't think that's it.

I really hope you have a good explanation for yourself.

Cedar Falls' running game was the difference in tonight's playoff win over CR Washington at the UNI-Dome. It was a disappointing end for a great Warrior team. It'll be interesting to see if any seniors show up in the IIAC next year. There's a lot of talent to be tapped.

Agreed.  Brummel went for 200+ and the QB Bernard rushed for 115 or so.  Not bad for a team that only put the ball in the air 7 times.  I would argue, though, that the CF defense was a big part of the game too.  They took the ball away from CRW when it looked like Wash was on their way to a score.  They also kept the Warriors from getting too many big gains, and none for TDs.  The CF pass defense came up big in the 4th quarter, limiting Wash to just one completion on their last 8 pass attempts.

The 4A championship game between Cedar Falls and Valley should be a quick game.  As much as those two teams run the ball, I can't see them putting it in the air too many times.

Good Luck to everyone in the IIAC today and hope for no serious injuries.

Wishing safe travels to all those heading out to watch their favorite teams today.  Congrats to all the seniors playing their last games today.  Thank you for sticking it out and representing your school on the grid iron.

Good luck to everyone today. I salute all the seniors. no matter what the outcome, no matter what you're record, you all have my respect. You make me proud to be a parent of an IIAC football player.

This the saddest day of the year.  I think I get more depressed/was more depressed on this day when it happened for me than I was when my grandmother died.

I with echo others.  Congratulations to all the seniors conference wide.  I salute your dedication and commitment to your program.  Best of luck in future endevors.

I am not much for posting about stats and that stuff on this board.  Maybe in the winter time I will do some research and actually come up with a post that makes sense both mathmatically and it has good English.  Dont hold your breath.

I did read about this stat today which is something I am very proud of the Beavers for this year.

Passing offense per game:  205 yards
Rushing offense per game:  143 yards
Total Offense per game:  347 yards

Some of your might be sitting there saying why I am bringing this up and what relavance it has on the situation as a whole.

If BV can take care of business against the Rams today they will finishing in second place all alone.  Their best finish since 1986.  The above mentioned numbers are the reason for this.  This is the first year since 2004 that we have a legitamate rushing attack.  Chad Pearson finished that season just shy of 1,000 yards and was given 1st team all conference accolades that year.  Move forward from there, 2005, 2006, 2007 were all mediocre teams that finished middle of the pack.  2008 we spring board to second, what the common denomenator?  Running the football.  You can not win the Iowa Conference without a solid running game.

Again I am very proud of the boys in Storm Lake this season.  Best of luck in your finale.

I would also like to state that I was very proud of the Beavers this year.  With the majority not giving them a snowball's chance in hell at finishing above .500 in the conference, a 2nd place finish is outstanding.  Some solid young players really stepped it up (especially at LB) and hopefully another great class of recruits incoming.  Hold your heads up high Beavers and thank you seniors for all of your hard work throughout the years.

What an awful season.  Not only is Central supposed to own Simpson, they are especially supposed to own over-time.  Con...con...this is really hard.  Congrats to... Sim..Sim...Sim oh heck.   Congratulations to the Storm.
