When they loose its always the refs fault or something.

I think you're confusing us with Coe fans.

Oh, and its spelled "lose."

Very interesting to watch the back and forth bickering on this board. I'm here to let you know that it is now officially next week!

UWW IS IN THE HOUSE!

My advice to the Knights, turn your attention to us.

I'm not going to worry about being humble in our chat this week. Humility is not been a major theme in the posts I've read on this board.

My advice to MC fans, hop aboard the Warhawk bandwagon and watch the Knights get slayed. Big time.

Knight fans who were complaining about the MC facility. Make the trip to UWW. The facility and pregame atmosphere will suit you fine.

The game won't suit you so well. You are about to get rocked!

I was also very surprised that Monmouth didn't kick the field goal on that last 4th down.
That whole sequence of events has to make it tough to sleep tonight for Monmouth fans. Third and 1 on the eleven and the Knights out of time outs. A false start, delay of game and two incomplete passes. Forget the field goal, two running plays and it's doubtful the Knights have time to score.

It wasn't the best of days for place kickers, missed PATs (both teams) and a missed FG (Wartburg) etc. So I'm guessing that delay of game was to give the punter more room to keep it out of the end zone. BUT. The obvious choice was to run it. If you don't get the 1st then take a delay of game while the clock is running. Then pass it if you must on 4th down. Valuable time would have come off the clock.

Similarly I don't agree with Wartburgs decision to go for it on 4th down on their previous possession. Probably out of field goal range, on that particular day, so why not pooch punt it 10 yards instead of risking a sack. Which they wound up taking. Punting was viable at the time as Wartburg still had 2 time outs left. (time outs/times out whatever)

I'm not so much a Monmouth fan as a MWC (Beloit) fan but I did make the trip and could watch the game with a semi-neutral eye. I don't think a FG does Monmouth any good in that situation as a 2 point conversion would have still given Wartburg the win.

Best of luck to the "Evil Empire" this week and I may be able to catch part of the game @UW-Wastewater.

UW Wastewater?? So U dub dub brings back a National Championship to our state and that's what we get??

Don't let Walston Hoover or the other knights get under your skin.  We put up with them in the Iowa Conference.  When they loose its always the refs fault or something.

Knights let show some class, (like Central does) you are representing us now.

I still think it was one of the best games I've watched.

Hard to say it again - good like to the knights next week.

And the holier then now group speaks. When we got beat when did anyone say it was the refs fault or something. I believe that was Coe and Simpson fans that blame the refs.
I believe when we got beat we embarassed the IIAC (Augsburg). When we got beat by BV we didn't play like the one pick to win the IIAC. But then again we aren't Central.

Hmm, I thought this was christmas season, so we would all be jolly and drinking egg nog and getting along.

Oh well, I will still be rooting for Wartburg on Saturday...and next season when the Knights are playing their non-con games as well.  Come conference play...eh, not so much then.

1) Wartburg fans and alumni are sort of an orange cult.

2) I'm confident you won't find much blaming of the officials by Knight fans.

3) Wartburg fans won't take the bait and start a war of words with UWW fans.

4) We could use some additional visitor seating at Walston Hoover Stadium.

5) Walston Hoover is something between Ivan the Terrible and Willie Wonka.

6) The Knights are a good football team, but probably not the best in the west.

7) Wartburg people are generally Corner Tap rather than Country Club.

Roop, I agree.

Walston, you just made an ass of yourself. I had no trouble finding a place to urinate. There was about 6 different places you could go to pee right around the stadium. You just sat there and ripped Monmouth and the MWC even though the only thing that prevented them from taking down "mighty" Wartburg was an obvious coaching error.

You were good to talk to the week leading up to this game, I only hope you normally arent this belligerant after a win.

See...what you Monmouth folks lack here is some perspective...

My man Walston Hoover is a Wartburg fan.  The success of this program tends to elicit more negative reaction than the success of the team from Pella.

Following yet another Knight win, W-H has that knack for the one post the rubs newly rawed nerves of the mourning opposition the hardest.  He is straight to the point, his opinions reflect an orange tinted vantage point and he holds no pretension of sympathy or empathy for the fans of the losing side.

Wartburg won, the other side lost.  No excuses, the final score tells the ultimate story.  And in that summation he is correct.  It's football, the bottom line is the score.  W-H is a bottom line guy and he shared his specific point of view on that...why stress?

From my point of view, I have had 10 weeks just like the one you just had...and your inexperience in dealing with it shows.  Your team got beat in a "rip yer heart out" sorta way.  Taking your frustration out on W-H is pointless.  Like us you will be watching next week.  But at least you watch with 11 wins under your belts for 2008...Monmouth had a hell of a year, within 7 seconds of a 12th, pretty damn good (there's your empathy).

Join us in watch, hoping that the Knights will compete vs. UW-W in such a way that shows us how far removed we are from reaching that point.  Then get to working hard over the offseason to try to beat the crap out of those arrogant frickin' Kaniggets next year.   ;D ;D ;D

How great can a neighborhood be that features Cheez Whiz and beer??  :D

Seriously, the Cheez Whiz is safe. Only the real stuff will do for a cheesehead!

And the beer? Oh, I'll find the beer..... ;D

You only think I guessed wrong! That's what's so funny! I switched beers when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Kansas, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Californian when cheese is on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha...

I take offense to that. There have been several cheap shots over the course of this season, some of which are funny, but this crosses the line. We have spent years and years trying to form ourselves into something dignified and here you are saying that we drink Bud-Lite. Let it be known, it's Milwaukee's Best Light and/or Miller Lite.
