We can both tailor the numbers to fit our arguments, I still know you don't understand how I got my numbers.
Again, I looked at the record of the opponent the year before they played the IIAC school for the FIRST time.

That's cool, I just think that my numbers give a more accurate portrayal of who we played.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Hey now, why do you have to go and put words into my mouth. I never said anything about how your numbers were irrelevant or about backing out of games already on the schedule. Now you're trying to start a pissin match.  Just trying to explain how I got my numbers. When I first looked up these numbers this morning I was curious what the records were of the teams Wartburg played, the year before they scheduled them. We have no control, and you don't either of how they end up doing the years you/we play them.

CooCoo,

Sorry that point did go way over my head.  In reality I don't remember many others posting on here.  Towards the end of the season last year there were a few others.  I now have received and understand your point.  Posting on here is not for every one.  I am sure that many of the Dutch fans read these posts.

Central, Coe, Wartburg, and Cornell.

I hope I didn't jinx the Rams by chosing them.

I will go with Central, U-Dubuque, Wartburg and Coe.
Cornell has a pretty good chance to win the game, but I don't know that they have the athletes to hang with Dubuque.
I'd say Cornell's best chances at winning come this week and at BV, but I don't see them winning after the calendar turns to October.

"Glad to see all the new Cornell groupies though. Reminds me of when Brautigham took over at Dubuqe (sic) and we had all the new posters on here, and when Hefty took over at Luther and all of the sudden Luther was going to win the league." (Walston Hoover, Reply #2357 on: Today at 09:09:54 am,

Cornell football fans are posting because they are excited about their team, which they have every right to be (new coach, 2-0 start). Then, Walston Hoover, the Kanye West of d3football post patterns (for explanation click on website below)

attempts to bully and intimidate new posters by calling them groupies. As if such fans have less a right to speak on this board and have not earned the right to post encouraging words and comments about their team, merely because their teams do not contend for the conference title every year.

Reading your attempts at making other posters feel inferior is getting old.

I'll take Wartburg, Coe, Central, and Dubuque this weekend.
I think the Cornell-Dubuque game is more or less a toss-up, but I'll give Sparty the edge due to their athleticism and the home-field.  I think Coe might be walking into a trap game at Luther, too.  I'm not sure enough of it to pick the Norse, but I have a feeling that game will get interesting.

Sorry man, I will amend my post or delete it, I am not trying to piss you off.

Does Simpson have a chance?

Oh, and don't think the Kohawks think they are going to have it easy, after the Central and Wartburg games this is the toughest.  However, since it is so early in the season and an away game it might be tougher than both the Central and Wartburg games.

Welcome back Tony Soprano, the board police of d3football.com post patterns.
You're right Tony, I was way out of line, I should have posted the "Disciples of Dillon".
Was I not accurate in what I posted? I remember reading a lot of the exact same stuff about other new coaches.  Maybe I should have called them Cornell frontrunners instead, hiding their faces with the losses mounting up over the years, and suddenly they have 2 wins to start the year and they have to let everyone know about it. And actually, I welcome more people to the board, I just hope that if things get a little tough they still hang around.
Do I need links to explain everything that I'm talking about?

One other thing Tony, if anyone is feeling bullied or intimidated by what they read in an internet chat room, they've got a lot more problems than what team they cheer for. Now if they felt intimidated meeting me in person, I would feel honored.

Tony S:

Get a grip.  Walston isn't driving Ram fans away.  He is making an observation many of us have seen over the years.

A team gets a new coach or puts 2 or 3 wins in a row and suddenly they have fans coming out of the woodwork.  Remember when Buena Vista made a run for the title a few years ago.  You couldn't find anyone on the site that wasn't a Beaver fan.  Oops, where did they go?  Poor old Spurrier carried the UD by himself forever.  Then when a new coaching staff arrived there was a flurry of Spartan fans posting for awhile. (Even a player if I remember correctly.)

The Ram fans made an appearance for a month or so in 2001 when they pulled an upset and beat Wartburg.  Good for them.  They have been fairly dormant since then, but they are emerging again.  Great.  The cellar dwellers' fans need to have some fun once in awhile.  Like high tide they will soon shrink back to the place place they came from.

As the soldiers said during the big one, "Smoke 'em if you got 'em."  Light up Ram and Spartan fans.  It won't last forever.

Tony are you even a Ram fan? Warthog I Really don't think us cornell fans are bragging about our two wins or our 2-0 start and maybe that isn't what you are saying. I see nothing wrong in a school trying to revive its tradition and pride that was once there. To be honest I would have been posting on here for years but I felt as a player you shouldn't write on these types of things. I know there were a few other guys like that as well. I know a few of the ram fans that have been posting are recent graduates and I bet they are posting now that they are not playing not because of a 2-0 start. I think the posts by the real fans of Cornell have all been good and I haven't sensed any sort of bragging or cockiness from them. We are just excited about all the new things that are happening at Cornell, which I think Walston said.

I don't remember who Tony is a fan of. He made a brief appearance here a few years ago and I don't think he liked me then either. Many years of pent up anger in that boy.

Ash Park, do we know each other?

As I stated earlier, the real criticism should be held for Central and Coe and their lack of fans on this site.
Coecoenut and Cochuck where are you?
