I wonder what Dowjone$ thinks of all this catfighting. Now there's a poster who brought something to this board. Not sure what it was, but it was something.  :-\
4 IIAC football championships
8 NCAA football playoff appearances
13 straight wins over Cornell in the oldest football rivalry west of the Mississippi

That's the world we live in Dutchfan, everyone's a victim. Didn't see the front page since I have my computer set to come straight here.

Boo, come on. We have more than just a message board.

Charlie Kohawk,

You are SOOOO RIGHT ON. DowJones did bring something to the board.  I agree it was unidentifiable, but it was something.  Usually for a good no great laugh.

Pat,

You are right.  I enjoy your sight completely.  It helps me keep up with the entire D3 level.  The kickoff was great, and the articles give us all a sense of what is happening around the other conferences and teams.  I do really learn alot coming here.

Coe, Wartburg, Central, and UD. Ok, I'm taking all of the preseason 'favorites' for these games. I'm just basing it on stats. I'm still debating whether to shoot over to UD for a while on Saturday.

Walston, are you from A-P??

I am a Central fan and I would love to join in the discussion.  The problem is, I haven't seen or heard an IIAC game or know any one who has.  So I don't know anything but what I read on here and the Central site.  I will wait for the Simpson game to post my smack.  Smack is better if you have some actual facts, but I won't let that stop me.

So, Rex, I guess you won't be "talking smack" until the season's virtually over. Simpson vs. Central - Nov. 11, last game of the season.

Yep, a proud A-P grad.
Pat, I check the rest of the site on Wednesdays, but its just an extra step to go through the front page when I'm headed here.
DowJone$ now there's a blast from the past. Wasn't he a player at UD?
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

"You obviously don't know as much as you think you do.  WH was not only a multi-year starter for Wartburg, he was a part of a unit that put up a pretty good streak of not allowing a sack.  He won an IIAC championship and played in the NCAA playoffs"

Thanks for the kind words and the free Cyclones tickets Sportsknight. I did play on some good units, no doubt a weak link, though not the weakest thanks to Voreis.

and just for the record, UD is 1-1...2006 IIAC CHAMPS BABY, HERE WE COME...
I haven't seen Spurrier in a while, so I had to rep UD real quick....
we have the conferences most dangerous QB, the fastest (too fast, they over-run some plays) defense, and a 20 year chip on our shoulder (plus we beat Loras last year, which damn near made our season)...look out IIAC!!

ok, I got that out of my system....but I agree with most of the posts around here, if UD started 3-0 or 4-0, you'd see all types of new UD backers! That being said, facts are facts, and I don't think anyone (WH included) said anything out of line...
When does your new season start Tony? 8 shows left right?? lol

Tony are you even a Ram fan? Warthog I Really don't think us cornell fans are bragging about our two wins or our 2-0 start and maybe that isn't what you are saying. I see nothing wrong in a school trying to revive its tradition and pride that was once there. To be honest I would have been posting on here for years but I felt as a player you shouldn't write on these types of things. I know there were a few other guys like that as well. I know a few of the ram fans that have been posting are recent graduates and I bet they are posting now that they are not playing not because of a 2-0 start. I think the posts by the real fans of Cornell have all been good and I haven't sensed any sort of bragging or cockiness from them. We are just excited about all the new things that are happening at Cornell, which I think Walston said.

As I stated earlier, the real criticism should be held for Central and Coe and their lack of fans on this site.
Coecoenut and Cochuck where are you?

I'm still here CooCoo, just busy and enjoying the season thus far.  I will admit that I have been very disappointed with the care of the fields again for my son and our team.   A soccer double header on the game field Monday in the  rain.   What were they thinking?  It's a total mess.....

Walston Hoover

Are you talking about the Football Field?
If so what is Coe thinking?

I have been reading this board for awhile now and with the start of the IIAC season approaching I thought I would throw out a question:  What makes people think that the outcome of this year's season will be any different than that of the recent past?  If you look at the recent history, Central, Coe, and Wartburg have been at the top or near the top every year.  Almost every other team (sorry UD) has had a bright spot here or there but nothing that they could sustain over a course of a few years.  I really feel that this year will be no different.

It is great to see people fighting with each other on the message board.  It reminds me of the "I am leaving and I am going to take my ball home with me" stage that most elementary kids have......or should I say Cornell Fans!  Couldn;t help myself...must be the beer.

Speaking of washed up, second-string former players, where's Dave Devine? ;) Just kidding, Dave....

Picks for the weekend -- Central, Coe, Wartburg, UD.

Oh, in case anyone missed it, OAS did a great job on the West Region article, highlighting Central's game and stadium redication:
