Anyone else have an eighth to a quarter of an inch of ice to chip off their vehicles this morning?

Sure did. The commute on I-235 was a treat this morning, too.

Breaking news out of Illinois.  Our governor was arrested this morning on federal corruption charges.  It is quite interesting to watch the press conference and see how messed up the Illinois politics really are!

Messed up but business as usual.

He really screwed up if he tried to shake down Jesse Jackson Jr.

Some of us have these things called garages to park inside WH :)  Back roads were slick for the most part, anything with traffic was melted and decent to drive on in CR.  It was nice to see people driving cautiously on I-380 this morning for a change!!  How was the trip to WDM?

Got 5 inches (that's what she said) of snow up in Winona, MN.  Definitely seemed like a lot more when I was brushing my car off this morning to head to class.  Predicting another 1 to 3 inches by 6pm today.  At least school cancellations gave me the night off of work.

Was only a matter of time before Blago went down for something.  On the long list of corrupt Chicago pols, he's easily towards the top of the list.  Probably not quite as back as Old Man Daley, but still up there.

Klop,

I'm truly sorry about the ending of your vacation. It sounds like a nightmare, and I hope your wife is okay now. Thanks for the vacation advice. I wondered where you were.

What's the deal with Illinois politics? Is corruption the standard there? For you folks who are Illinois residents, do people just accept it as the status quo, or does it make you mad? I never could understand how Marion Berry got re-elected in D.C., but apparently the people there thought he did a good job, loaded or not.

Sorry about your weather. We might get snow out here in the boondocks this weekend.

Didn't know that course existed. Sounds like a May Term course.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

I don't remember that one either.  And I probably took all the fluff classes that Wartburg offered.
