Three topics of discussion to drive the conversation around here over the next week now that the D3 season is officially over:

1.  What are you hoping to get for Christmas?  Are you particularly proud of anything that you bought for somone else?

2.  How did your fantasy football team(s) do this season?  Any champions around here?

3.  How about your favorite NFL team?  I imagine we'll have plenty of Viking/Bear/Packer fans on this board, although you never know.

Maybe a litte late to chime in here as Christmas festivities have overwhelmed me the last day or two but here goes.

1.  Happily, never really need anything.  Just want my kids to all come home and spend time with us.  Worked very hard for years making something special for one of my sons and that is finally finished, wrapped nicely and waiting under the tree.

2.  My fantasy team had a pretty good year for the most part but they were a little inconsistant tearing it up one week and then laying down the next.  After being tied for 3rd going into the last game of the season with 2 others, I lost to the team in last place throwing me into the consolation bracket for the play-offs.  Finished 5th.   :(  FYI, Rivers was money for the most part and L.T is a waste of shoulder pads!

3.  My favorite team is the Bears or as I like to refer to them, "those damn Bears!  If we don't do something about drafting a potential franchise QB, (perferrably but I would take anyone with potential at this point,) I think the league should consider disbanding them.  The GM is either too stubborn or too stupid to recognize talent.  Don't know which.  (Cedric Benson ring a bell!)  ;)  Oh, and, a new o-line would be great.

Happy Holidays to all and may the day find you all happy and healthy and sharing the season with those you love!
"Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!"  Dennis Miller

The Show

Not sure if I'll have a chance to chime in again by tomorrow, so Merry Christmas to all and safe travels where ever you are heading this week.  Enjoy time with the family and relax!  And if you're bored turn on some college football, that TCU/Boise St. game last night was a great game.

And if you're extra bored, cheer on the Dolphins on Sunday!  ;D

I'd like to echo Show's sentiments -- I'd like to wish you guys (in a wonderful, unapologetic, un-PC fashion) Merry Christmas. Have a wonderful time with your family and friends. Here's wishing you safe travels as you make your way to fun and friends. I hope Santa finds you where ever you are. :)

Best wishes for a safe and successful 2009!

Greeting from the AE Neumann family with the lyrics from Christmas Vacation movie.

Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say on a bright Hawian Christmas Day
That's the island greeting that we send to you from the land where palm trees sway
Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright
The sun to shine by day and all the stars at night
Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii's way to say Merry Christmas to you.
Aaron Kampman on Coach Ed Thomas
I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Merry Christmas to all

Word on the street is Santa is just passing over Iowa.  I think I might have saw him earlier tonight as I was leaving Illinois for Iowa.

Hope everyone had a safe and Happy Holiday! Just finished putting together the last of the toys and getting some R & R before bed. Just a FYI, the kawasaki electric drum set kicks a$$ and is fun for 2 year olds and their dads  ;D It must be in his blood because dad cannot dance like that  :D

See ya next year!

We hooked up our wii today.  My wife is making the mii's for our kids and us.  I just heard my wife tell our girls that they needed to make me look more confused...because dad usually walks around looking confused ::)

Do IIAC teams need to start building Domes???  Or build fields with in-ground heating units???  Or employ work-study kids to get shovelling???

Pretty picture anyway.

I think we can hold off on worrying about answering that question until the next time UD hosts a late December game.  ;)
