A story out yesterday

http://info.wartburg.edu/thecircuit/tabid/158/itemid/365/Wartburg-endowment-takes-a-hit.aspx

The Wartburg College endowment fell approximately 33 percent, from roughly $50 million to $34 million as a result of the current economic situation in the country, Wartburg College President William Hamm said.

I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

Considering most of the colleges show about an average of $2 million dollar losses and Wartburg is showing $16 million in endowment losses, I think Wartburg should fire their financial advisors.

And maybe this year they won't be able to afford to buy as many student-athletes as previous years??

33%???
Thrivent Financial must not have been looking out for ol' Wartburg.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

And just last week you said you didn't have a sense of humor....  ;)

See these guys while you can.  Before I got married and had kids I saw U2, the Stones, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam and others.  After we had kids, my concert going has been limited to...the Wiggles.  Even more worrisome is I have found myself listening to their cd in the car...when my kids weren't riding with me :o

A recent encouraging sign though is my oldest daughter now telling me she wants to go to football and basketball games with me.  So I at least have that going for me...which is good ;)

This is very worrisome.  I think you might need a weekend away from the wife and kids to go see a nice rock concert and get loaded.  I think that would re-charge your batteries ;)

Magic 8 ball says "wife not likely to approve of that"  ;D

Does WillieU or any others out there know of any coaching possibilities at UD?  Coach Z has been there for a little while now and no news regarding new assistants?!?!

I have heard that the UD OC Jeremy Fellows brother is among the 70 applicants for the Northwestern (IA) job.  That's all I have heard.  Not that I am in the know about much of anything.

How about skipping the concert and just getting loaded?  Stated rationale:  After the Pro Bowl, no more football.

Isn't this typical Coe math?   :D

Wasn't it a Dubuque guy who posted it?

I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!
