Some how I just feel better seeing those schedules.   ;D

Interesting that Loras gets 2 home, 2 away, 2 home, 2 away and Wartburg gets 2 away, 2 home, 2 away, 2 home.  Maybe not so strange...just looks odd to have it work out that way the entire way through the schedule.

It just makes it feel closer to September seeing schedules out there.  Thanks sportsknight.  Now shouldn't you be getting ready to take off to a bar or 3 if you are living in Dubuque now?

I suppose since sportsknight put the conference schedules out there.  I wil put the non-con games out.

When was the last time all 9 IIAC schools got their 2 non-con games out of the way in the first two weeks?

BV
Sept. 5 @ UW-Platteville
Sept. 12 Peru St.  (replaces Waldorf with another NAIA school)

Central
Sept. 5 @ Lakeland
Sept. 12 TBA  (played Lakeland last season...Sept. 12 still a mystery)

Coe
Sept. 5 Augustana
Sept. 12 @ Gustavus Adolphus  (same non-con teams as last season)

Cornell
Sept. 5 @ Grinnell
Sept. 12 @ Carleton  (same non-con teams as last season)

Dubuque
Sept. 5 @ Rockford
Sept. 12 UW-Platteville  (near by UW-Platteville replaces Redlands)

Loras
Sept. 5 @ Monmouth
Sept. 12 Millikin  (same non-con teams as last season)

Luther
Sept. 5 @ St. Olaf
Sept. 12 Wisconsin Lutheran  (Wisconsin Lutheran replaces Waldorf...one patsy for another)

Simpson
Sept. 5 @ UW-Stout
Sept. 12 Northwestern (MN)  (UW-Stout is a big step up from Grand View)

Wartburg
Sept. 5 @ St. Norbert
Sept. 12 Augsburg  (Same non-con teams as last season)

Grinnell spurned IIAC in 2003

How do you figure?

Because Grinnell was invited to join the IIAC and turned it down.

That's interesting.  Unless Grinnell is rethinking their position that would mean that the IIAC is looking towards an NAIA team.

I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

I don't think an invititation was ever extended.  I could be wrong, but I was interning in the IIAC office that summer, so I doubt it.

Wartburg had a similar, but not quite as bad, situation in '06 when they had just one home game in a five week span.

I thought there was some talks between the IIAC and GC, but GC didn't want to add wrestling so the discussions ened.

Dubuque
Sept. 5 @ Rockford

Luther
Sept. 5 @ St. Olaf
Sept. 12 Wisconsin Lutheran  (Wisconsin Lutheran replaces Waldorf...one patsy for another)

The only difference is, this patsy only graduated four players from a 4-6 team that beat Rockford last year.

Drake hasn't posted their football schedule yet for 2009.  Maybe they would like to come to Pella 9/12.

Well, they were a patsy when UD played them.  Though they beat Aurora that year, who had lost to Coe ;)
