Thanks sportsnight!

Someday I'll tell the story of the 12-minute movie I made at Wrigley Field in 1968.

Did the movie title go something like "1908-1968...60 years without a World Series title...this is the Cubs year!!!"   :P

On some other notes.  Will UNI dropping baseball help the D3 schools in our state?

I thought I saw on the WIAC board that the conference was considering adopting a North/South alignment.  With each school playing the other schools in it's division twice and the other schools once during the season.  Giving them a ten game season and not having to leave the state for non-con games...thus saving the schools some money.

That sounds like a very long-term solution to a very short-term problem.

Off topic - wrestling. Looks like it will AGAIN be "Battle of the 'burgs" @ national meet. Augsburg qualified 9 like Wartburg did. co-#2 Del Valley only got 6 to the National meet so IIAC should really be in position for hardware with Coe and Luther both getting 7.

I like there chances at winning the wrestling title MUCH MORE THAN attracting new students w/ the Wartburg commercial last night (during the broadcast of the academy awards).

Could do that one with a 30-second spot.

The orange zebra spot? I agree - yikes. It was better than Central's commercial (which was nonexistant) but not by much. Does Wartburg work with an agency to create their advertising?

I saw that commercial during the Super Bowl pre-game.  Definately could have done better with that.  Has anyone else noticed BVU ads on other websites.  Are those national?  Or just pop up for me because they can track my viewing history and know I follow IIAC schools?

Hey guys I have not posted in a while so I thought that I would drop in and see whats happening.  I have been busy with work and training for a triathlon.  Yes folks a fat old oline man is trying his dardest to compete in a triathlon race this May down in Memphis.

Doolittle FYI:  A triathlon is running, swimming, and biking all in one event.  It does not consist of running to the market, swimming through the apple orchard, and biking to the Wiggles concert ;)
