Well I just checked the brackets on the IIAC Forever challenge and it looks like we are locked in a dead heat.

Footballdaddy is leading the charge with 140 pts.

Close behind with 130 pts are the following.  DBQ65', yours truly, The Main Event, Purple Heys, The One.

It could be an interesting second day!

I look forward to seeing who is in what position after Sundays games are complete.

I did my typical 12/16

I seem to get 3/4 right pretty much every round.  Whether I take the time to study the brackets or just scribble down whatever team I feel like picking...which is what I did this year.

First round upsets always bug me ... but I know that is part of the madness.  Still ... I hate it when the frickin' Wolverines win!!!

Adrian Peterson to save NIACC football?

http://www.globegazette.com/articles/2009/03/20/news/local/doc49c3170f96ca9515296243.txt

""Adrian Peterson has agreed to donate money to our football program, as well as three other NFL players," said LaLonde. "This was confirmed this morning.

"He has put together a formal package for us through his agent and lawyer. We don't know the exact amount, but close to $150,000 will be given to the program via Adrian and other NFL players to keep us running through the next season."

I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

Want to be on BIG BROTHER?

Wartburg to host auditions for CBS' 'Big Brother'

WAVERLY, Iowa — In partnership with KGAN, Wartburg College will serve as the sole Iowa site to host auditions for the CBS reality show, "Big Brother."

The auditions for the eleventh installment of "Big Brother," including individual taped segments, will be held Saturday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in Levick Arena in the Wartburg-Waverly Sports & Wellness Center on 12th Street.

"Big Brother" follows a group of strangers living together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones for three months, their every move recorded. HouseGuests vote each other out until the last one remaining wins the grand prize.

In addition to the taped segment, which will last no longer than two minutes, aspiring contestants need to fill out an application that can be downloaded at www.cbs.com/casting/.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

Wartburg College gained attention last summer on "Big Brother 10" when houseguest Ryan "Jessie" Godderz, 22, a professional bodybuilder from Rudd, wore a Wartburg T-shirt on the show.

Considering how Clemson and Michigan each finished their seasons, IMO that was not even an upset - just poor seeding. ;)

Sorry to whomever I pissed off.  6 karma point drop in a matter of a day is a record even for me!!!  Keep it up I'd like to be in the negatives like Touchdown Tommy and Snoop Dawg!

Apparently that's what you get for leading the bracket challenge ;D

I threw you a little +k,  you know, for the effort.

Right back at you dog.  I need Siena and Wisconsin to pull through in order to have a good first round.

snoop, I try, but I can't counter OB's mafia all by myself! :D

After rising higher than I ever expected (I was in negative territory 3 years ago), I've dropped 30 points in a month (I suspect some folks on the politics board are not sticking with the 'gentlemen's agreement' as a 'no smite' zone).

Those games to finish off the night were outstanding.  Looks like Siena and Wisconsin live to fight another day.  That helps my bracket to!

ALL a LIE by Mr. Kevin Griffin

"
"Adrian Peterson is a great guy," he said. "It was my fault for not having all my facts together."

Although Griffin was initially identified by NIACC staff as an assistant football coach, DeGabriele said Griffin was invited to help with NIACC's spring football drills.

"He is not a NIACC employee," she said.

Griffin is still listed on the Jenks High School in Oklahoma Web site (jenkstrojanfootball.com) as an eighth-grade assistant coach.

"I got here on Monday and got fired on Tuesday," he said. "I left my fiancee and two children and a great job in Oklahoma.

"Now, I'm scrambling to find a job and obviously this bad press is not helping right now." "

My first thoughts while reading that article is how do people like him get jobs.  Then I saw that bolded part and chuckled a bit.  I should be old enough now not to be shocked at the stupidity shown by some members of the human race.

Sadly though, these players spent a few days thinking they still had a place to play, before getting that pulled out beneath them for a second time in a week.
