Not quite sure why this guy would leave a job at Jenks. I've been there and to go to NIACC is no doubt a step down.

That building in the endzone is football only.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

Nice facilities, but for their size, how many players went on to NFL careers compared to A/P???

Anyone out there want a free golden retriever???  Yet another dog has been dumped by someone at our farm.  It's been about 3 years now since the last one so I guess we were due.  That makes 7 or 8 since we moved here in 1982.  We'll have an add in this weeks Veridian Credit Union swap sheet on thursday.  Anyone on here can have first dibs.

People who dump animals out in the country ought to be shot. I bet half the time one of us is at the vet (we have 4 pets) we see someone there with an animal that has been dumped off. Like with you, doolittle, it's rarely the first time. Our vet is really nice about helping those people out with the shots and exams.

One of our dogs is a 115 pound golden retriever. He's the size of a small horse.

I hope one of you will help doolittle out and take that golden for him. They are such nice dogs and make great family pets. Most of them are very smart. Our guy got size instead of brains, but he's one of the nicest dogs we've ever had.

Sorry to whomever I pissed off.  6 karma point drop in a matter of a day is a record even for me!!!  Keep it up I'd like to be in the negatives like Touchdown Tommy and Snoop Dawg!

Klop...I drop six points per hour, without trying  :)

snoop, I try, but I can't counter OB's mafia all by myself! :D

After rising higher than I ever expected (I was in negative territory 3 years ago), I've dropped 30 points in a month (I suspect some folks on the politics board are not sticking with the 'gentlemen's agreement' as a 'no smite' zone).

Does OB stand for OxyBob or Obnoxious Bob?

Want to be on BIG BROTHER?

Wartburg to host auditions for CBS' 'Big Brother'

WAVERLY, Iowa — In partnership with KGAN, Wartburg College will serve as the sole Iowa site to host auditions for the CBS reality show, "Big Brother."

The auditions for the eleventh installment of "Big Brother," including individual taped segments, will be held Saturday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in Levick Arena in the Wartburg-Waverly Sports & Wellness Center on 12th Street.

"Big Brother" follows a group of strangers living together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones for three months, their every move recorded. HouseGuests vote each other out until the last one remaining wins the grand prize.

In addition to the taped segment, which will last no longer than two minutes, aspiring contestants need to fill out an application that can be downloaded at www.cbs.com/casting/.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

Wartburg College gained attention last summer on "Big Brother 10" when houseguest Ryan "Jessie" Godderz, 22, a professional bodybuilder from Rudd, wore a Wartburg T-shirt on the show.

But your karma gets a boost for that humor.  It's the whole yin/yang, circle of life thing at work.

Any IIAC spring practice news out there?  Anybody injured, jailed, transfers in, transfers out, coaching news, stuff like that???

So ... the first two rounds of NCAA March Madness are out of the way ... with a few unexpected casualities.

Leading the way in the IIAC Forever group is Klopenheimer (impressive), with a two-way tie for second between The Mayne Event and Thunderbolt.

Way to go ... all of you.

Any IIAC spring practice news out there?

I heard they have moved all of the Wartburg football players to dorm rooms with windows that face away from sidewalks and parking lots.  This is a preemptive move to keep the guys from yelling out windows at people passing by.  :-X

Iowa's Pro Day is Tuesday.

Any news of any IIAC attendees?  Do any ever attend?

How do kids get invited to that?  Do their coaches pull strings for them?  I remember Walner Belleus going to the ISU pro day a few years back and not doing well at all.  Something like a 4.6 and 4.7 in the 40, 8 reps at 225 is all I remember.

I just checked the standings and cringed -- would you believe I am winning the other bracket I entered? Ugh.

The Pac-10, FSU and Siena killed me.  I should've had Rev. 3 join in too...He's killin'...He has the entire West Region correct, plus he picked Siena and all the losses by the Pac-10 correctly.  He also picked WKU in the first round

I still have Lull-vull all the way...though that's looking shaky.
