What happened to Dallas Busch?  I thought he was pretty decent and could be a good one this  coming year.

Been gone on vacation for a few days and missed a lot.
Same offseason argument that goes on for years.
A study was done last year or 2 years ago I think and the financial aid for student-athletes and then for band geeks, nerds and choir boys was within a couple percentage points of each other. It was significantly higher if you did more than one.  ;)

The young man elected to not continue his football career at Cornell.  No reason available to me.

He showed flashes of potential and possessed some good physical skills.  But the bottom line is/was his actual production on the field.  49.8% passing, 3 TD's and 11 picks (along with a disturbing proclivity to fumble the ball within the 10 yard line) are not that difficult to replace.  He very well could have been in a battle for his job this Spring.  Plus we went 0-10...our record can't get worse without him.  Maybe he would have broken out this year...we'll never know.

He suffered a concussion (or two) and the guys who replaced him did alright passing (maybe better)

Everybody moves forward...good luck to us and good luck to him.

Don't know if this will change your numbers or not (I imagine it will), but Wartburg installed FieldTurf in 2001.

A nearby throwing venue for track and field and two competitive soccer fields are part of the outdoor athletic complex. In 2005, Walston-Hoover Stadium hosted the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

It was most definitely being used at Wartburg in the Fall of '01. My Jr year.
First game I started as a soph was at W-SR's field against Loras while they ripped up the old Schield Stadium turf. FWIW, we were 8-2 that year, 5-0 at home. Losses on the road 10-6 to Coe and Lovely and Ditch kicked our tails at Cornell.

Also could be fairly restated as Teams lose on the road.

That's technically correct, since the Stadium wasn't totally finished until '02 (took a little longer to get the track poured).  But Wartburg's first football game on FieldTurf was in the fall of 2001.  Walston Hoover and TheOne89.1 both played on that field, and that was the first weekend of my freshman year, so I think you can trust us.  And if you can't, then just ask AlfredENeumann, warthog, BB, or any number of other Wartburg supporters that were in attendance that night.  Or anyone from UW-Oshkosh, that evening's opponent.

Okay...Based on those numbers the kid stinks.  You would be lucky to find another kid to come in and play quarterback.  This year maybe they will use some "stick em'" inside the 10 yard line with the quaterbacks ;D  Maybe I was having a flashback to the YouTube video where Dillon said that he had a chance to be All Conference.  Maybe I just had to much LSD this week and I am whacked out of my gored.

From the couple of times I saw Bush play he had the "talent" to be an all-conference QB.  I just don't know if he had the head for it...or maybe the coaching...or both.

A good hard nosed football player that probably could have been an "all-district" player on any team in the IIAC. I just don't think he would have seen the field as a QB on any other roster. No slam on him or Cornell, but he was probably playing out of position by necessity.
