I am sooo ready to see Central beat a top ten team.  And as long as I'm looking for miracles, a clearer webcast picture than I got last year would be nice.  I'm one of those guys who, the more he gets, the more he wants.

And on another subject, has anyone ever tried the beer from the Stevens Point Brewery?  I haven't seen it in a long time.  Lately, the cheapest beer in my neighborhood beer depot has been the stuff from LaCrosse.  It is mediocre but the price is right and the cans and the thirty pack case have a pretty picture on them.

Am I looking at a future problem in watching the Central game on webcast? I listened to the game last week and it was so full of static, I was about to attach aluminum foil to my computer to get better reception. If there were past problems, does anybody know some tricks to getting a quality picture?? :o

I think we can settle that 1902 game between Coe and Cornell by asking someone who I believe was there...Purple Heys?  Can you let us know who the winner was? ;)

My bad, Speed.  I see the hack reference was in response to football and not basketball.  I would still wonder how you would come to the conclusion that D2 was all he could hack when the only reason he's playing there is because of enrollment and having never seen him play.

Ok.  Let's try this again.  I went to hs in WI.  I know how the divisions work.  He can't help he went to a d2 school (unless there was open enrollment of course, but that's another can of worms).  I am simply saying that for him being labeled such a stellar athlete who may be the best IIAC player or fresh or whatever, his hs stats don't show it.  His stats seem to show that he was an above average student-athlete playing in d2, which has less overall talent than d1.  I've seen cases when d2 and d3 (and so forth) students with superior talent play in those divisions, and their stats are phenomenal.  They are phenomenal because they are unreal athletes, and are they that much better than the kids they are playing against on a regular basis.  I don't get that from him.  I never said d2 was all he could hack, and I hardly expect him to blow up the IIAC scene.  Enough said.
Terrell Owens was asked for one word to describe himself. He said "confident." When asked for another word he said "very."

I googled those rivalries.

very interesting!

Cornell Rams at Coe Kohawks
"You probably need half a dozen officials,'' said Coe football coach D.J. Leroy with a laugh, "to keep those games under control."

This will be the 109th meeting between the two teams, though the records dispute whether Coe leads the series 55-49-4 or 54-50-4. Both teams claim to have won the 1902 game, in which the officials failed to properly keep track of time.

I always enjoyed a good rivalry! ;D

Foil won't work.  You need a Pringles can.

RF engineers will get that one...   ;D

Coe scored 3 plays after the Cornell team left field in their horse and buggies going back to Mount Vernon.

UD had video of home basketball and wrestling last spring.  The front page of the UD athletics site has a "live video" link so I am assuming they will have live video of their football this fall.  But, you know what they say about assuming!!!

That's great!!!  I love it!  Look at that intensity...you just don't see that in the kids these days!   :D

If there were a way to increase your K by an order of magnitude for this I would.   ;)

I don't know much about the IIAC, but how do you think Loras will match up with Millikin?  Millikin has been a dog in the CCIW the past few years.

Thanks

Loras I think is in a rebuilding year.  They have been a middle of the pack to lower end IIAC team in years past.  The can play well or they can play poorly.  I don't know much about them this year but an 0-1 start is not good but not unheard of for them.  I am guessing if Millikin does not bring their A game Loras can put up a W on them.
