50-34, just under 9 min left in the 4th

Jackson with his 2nd TD on the ground

Razor, Bearclaw, Stinger!!!!!

BV    16
Cornell    0

with less than :52 in the game

Score was 3-0 at half....great defensive struggle and looks like the Beavers will notch their first win.

Cornell had 4 turnovers now in the second half with a fumble just recovered by the BV squad.

Great jobs BEAVERS!

I must admit...the trains on the radio sure made the backs sound like they were running hard....

It's over. Loras 32, Coe 30. Bad call on the Suckow fumble in my opinion, but congratulations Duhawks on a game well played.

what a slugfest.. sounds like WB gave up 62 yard TD run opening drive of 2nd half..

WB 215 yds total offense with 38 minutes TOP
Central 155 yds total offenense with a 62 yard run

1,3,4,6 yard line  was starting position for 4 opening drives for WB..

i don't think i've ever heard of a team giving up 150 yds for an entire game and not winning..
Central made the plays when it mattered though..

Sweet, thanks!! Looks like UD's offense is clicking at the right time

Very frustrating loss today in Mt. Vernon. Defense was about as solid as you can get. Offense...well there wasn't one. The offense didn't even show up. Hope these guys keep their heads up and bounce back from this. They have to be sick and tired of losing so hopefully they do something about it. Congrats to Loras on the huge win over Coe.

Go Hawkeyes!

Congratulation Duhawks!!!

"Easiest pick of the week." "All Coe has to do is show up."

32-30.
Like previously said this week, 'Nuff said.'

I will say this, no Kohawk fans were posting like that. I only do my trashtalking to those who start it. The Suckow fumble, hard to tell. I couldn't hardly see over the Loras sideline, so I have no idea exactly, but it looked live to me. The Coe guys kept it really classy although I'm sure they were heartbroken. An all-around great football game.

It's over.

By that, of course, I meant the game and nothing more. Losing sucks, especially on Homecoming, but there's a whole lot of football yet to be played. If my math is correct, there are five IIAC teams with two wins. Central and Loras lead the way at 2-0, with Coe, Wartburg and Dubuque all at 2-1. Coe already had a score to settle at Dubuque. Now that game looms even larger.

I tip my hat to Loras. While Coe didn't play its best in any aspect of the game, the Duhawks had something to do with that. Loras always seems to bring its "A" game against the Kohawks. It was certainly an entertaining battle on a gorgeous day before a packed stadium. While I hate to see any team celebrate on our home field, it was a victory worth celebrating.

I'm expecting a similar college football display next week in Dubuque -- only with the opposite results. GO KOHAWKS!!

Who do you blame for a heartbreaking loss?  Well this loss' blame sits sqaurely on the shoulders of the Kohawk fans.  Homecoming game of the fourteenth ranked team in the nation and we get not even 1500 Coe fans at the game.  There was a nice showing of 96'ers, but overall a very disappointing turn out for this game.

Well, I guess I better go get dressed for the reunion.  I'll have to drown my sorrows at the Alumni House.  Hope to see you there Charlie.

Still Love My Kohawks!

COOCOO!!!
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!
