I'll play.

Why do the Knights have really small steering wheels on their cars?

So they can drive with handcuffs on.

And to be fair....

One of the Dutch linemen had to make up a history test, and he was afraid he wouldn't be able to pass. A friend said, "Here, borrow my underwear. I have the answers written in the waistband."

The lineman goes into take the test and the professor asks him how many states are in the US. The lineman looks at his waistband and responds "50." The professor is surprised and pleased at the correct answer.

For the next question he asks who the US President is. The lineman checks his shorts again and answers, "JC Penney."

Yours aren't any newer!
Two words:  THE STREAK

These are the shirts the Wartburg Knights wear so they can remember the plays.

Hopefully the Knights don't forget their playbook today.

and to be far also.

The Dutch coach said, "Just dance that ball right into the end zone."

So they did!

The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.
At the end of today, there will be a winner and loser.

Along with this will come 12 months worth of bragging rights, some what ifs, some why did they do thats and how could theys.

But remember, it also may come with some dropped balls in the end zone, a catchable ball that should have been caught and all the players of todays game wanting to have come away with the victory.

So hopefully the understanding of the jokes that we shared will continue after today's game.
Good game everyone, on and off the field (including D3boards)

Way to go Dutch 10-0 and another perfect season.  You guys did it and you seniors have three perfect regular seasons.  That is quite an accomplishment.  36-4 over years.  Now heal up and get ready for a playoff game.  Have fun in the bye week but stay focussed.

What a beautiful day for football.  My wife and I took our 3 kids to Mt. Vernon to meet up with the Heys family and see if the Rams could get their 1st conference victory over those darn Duhawks.  I have a feeling the party in Mt. Vernon will last late into the night.  A lot of very happy players, parents and students down there.

The Heys family and all the Rams parents we met were very nice.  They run a great tailgate.  Lots of food and lots of "drink" choices.  Everything from St. Louis Barley Pop to a wide variety of shots were available.  Heys Rev. 3 was having a lot of fun waving the Cornell flag and he raced out of the stands to go join the team in ringing the victory bell after the win.  I think Cornell has a leg up in the recruiting process for Heys Rev. 3 at this point.  I think Cornell is even in the lead for recruiting my kids, even though they are 8, 6, and 4.  As we were driving away from the stadium and driving past the campus my two girls told us they wanted to go to Cornell.  We told them they have a lot of time to make that decision.  But at this point their minds seem made up :D

Even though the Hawkeyes lost, I went 4-0 in my IIAC pick-ems today.  So I am feeling pretty good right now.  Way to go Spartans.  3-4 in IIAC play and a chance to get to .500 next week at BV.  That is pretty darn good.  Congrats.

Favorite play of the game...Zachary absolutely running #4 CB for Wartburg over at the goalline!

Congrats Dutch!!!

Thought the no huddle was pretty gimmicky by Wartburg...where is the smashmouth football that they want to hang their hats on usually. Gonna be toublesome next year without Yordi!

Ill take Sneads game passing 18-21 202 and 4 tds over Yordis 28-38 300some yds and 1 td any day of the week.

First:  Doolittle and his family are now in my family.  Great people.  His son competes like Brett Farve at thumb wars.  That kid just found a way to win   :D

His daughters are the sweetest of hearts.  and Mrs. Double D shares the title of most tolerant wife on the planet with Mrs. Heys.

She follows Double D out to Mt. Vernon with 3 young ninnymuggins in tow to a game that has no direct bearing on her family and yet enjoys herself to the hilt and allows her hubby to have his fun....she can play on my team any day.
