By now, pretty much everyone knows Freddy's story but the Bills have a pretty good video on their website about how he got there. They even mixed in some old Coe footage.

what a great video...just wish the bills were having a better year!  I still think they should be getting him more involved even though lynch is back.

Mav45, your nephew has had some fantastic fingertip catches this year.  Is he planning to come back and play out his last season of eligibility after missing last year with an injury?

Hey, Klomp....just smartin' off a little.

I think Jordan would like to come back for that last year.  I think his parents are supportive of that too, but have asked about roofing jobs, whatever, to help the cash flow situation.  I'd say "yes" &/or "probably".

FWIW.....

I'm a chronic "non-logged on lurker" and I have to tell you guys how much I enjoy reading your back and forth banter.  I rarely have anything worth commenting on, as I don't know many details about anything.  But it has been fun to enjoy the cameraderie that has developed as different guys (& gal) promote their own team and players.

I'll admit that footballdaddy's post script makes me laugh out loud; you ARE a little contrary, FD.  "Irritating almost everyone since 2007"  But you've been interesting.  Most of us are operating out of the same playbook, however....staunch IIAC football fans with a strong preference for a particular school.  Lots of worse things we could be doing with our time.

Klomp, I don't know who YOU are, but I'll retract my jab, and stand corrected.  At my age, I would hate for this to have to come down to a physical confrontation.

Continued best wishes to you guys.  Go Dutch!

New West Region Rankings:

West Region
1. UW-Whitewater 7-0 9-0
2. St. John's 9-0 9-0
3. Linfield 7-0 8-0
4. Central 10-0 10-0
5. Monmouth 10-0 10-0
6. St. Thomas 8-1 8-1
7. Coe 8-1 8-1
8. Cal Lutheran 7-1 7-1
9. Redlands 7-1 7-1
10. St. Norbert 9-1 9-1

Looks like the IIAC or at least Central is having a little respect problem.  Although between them and Linfield there's not much comparative data, unless you count the miracle in the mud!!!

Barring surprises this weekend it looks like the three west coast teams are in good shape, but I really doubt there will be two flights when one can be and has been judged adequate.

FWIW  GO COE  (sorry PH) get in the playoffs, then win when you get there.  I'm up for a rematch, inthe second round.

I just want to give a public shout of for the trio of linebackers that Coe will be graduating this season.  They are the best collection of linebackers that I have seen in this conference.  Tate Harrison, Calvin Thomas and Ross Yeast have been completely dominant and they deserve the accolades that they might receive at the end of the season.  Those guys will be truly missed and I know 8 coaches that are happy as hell that they are gone after this season!

I couldn't agree more!  With them graduating next year, I see Coe moving Weymiller back to LB which will help...but big holes to fill next year there.

I doubt Coe is going to move the conference leader in sacks and tackles for a loss off the LOS. Just me though, Weymiller seems to be creating enough havoc on the dline. From who I've talked to, he likes it there jsut as much.

Not to diminish what these guys have done, but Coe has had pretty good linebackers for the past 8 or so years

Congrats to Central's Big Uglies including the TE on making the d3 team of the week

OL Lee Schroeder, A.J. Stanton, Casey Tanner, Andy Kneib, Joey Shoemaker, Central
Central's line paved the way for an offense which scored TDs on six of its first seven possessions and gained 419 yards in Central's 41-33 win at Wartburg, wrapping up outright conference title and completing 10-0 regular season.

TE Jordan Leuschen, Jr., Central
Caught two TD passes in Central's 41-33 win at Wartburg as part of a day where he contributed on the receiving end (four catches for 92 yards) and the blocking end.

I guess I didn't consider d3football's habit of placing an OL on the team of the week in a previous post, but this was a well deserved effort  6 TDs in 7 possessions is why the Dutch faithful didn't feel entirely threatened by Wartburg's 4th qtr comeback.

Agree and disagree.  Weymiller isn't moving anywhere in my opinion.  He is just a freshman that will be the premier pass rusher in this conference for the next three years.  Something that is invaluable in a conference that has so many pass-first teams.

It is just my humble opinion, but having seen every linebacker to play at Coe for the past 8 years, but Harrison and Tate are as good individually as any other individuals that I have seen at that position (Pfantz, Pfantz, Borrett, Ware, Weymiller).  Put them together along with Yeast (who is excellent in his own right) and that is a tremendous three-some........the best corp I have seen.

Congrats to Brian King for making D3football's Team of the Week.

It's time to put another good game together for an upset at Clark Field.

Thank you D3 for recognizing these guys.  The line has been having a fantastic year and the WB game was just one example of how much these guys have improved from last year.  They are a huge part of the reason that DZ is being touted for POY and why I think POY could end up going elsewhere.  I have tremendous respect for David, but he wouldn't be where he is without some great players in front of him.

Also thanks for recognizing Jordan Leuschen, he has had some fantastic catches this year and Saturday was a good day for him.  Sure hope Mav45 helps him figure out how to come back next year, or at least sends him to his friendly FA office to discuss the options.   ;D

Not really liking the projections that have Central facing off with St. Thomas in the playoffs for the first round.  Makes me think back to the 33-32 shootout we had with them the last time we played them in playoffs.  An exciting win, but what a workout for a fan.  I was exhausted after the game.  And I was a lot younger then!

If they made the team of the week, where should Wartburg's OL be? They only produced 461 total yards and scored on 6 of 7 posessions. I know it really was 6 of 8 possessions, but I hope to get the same break Old Dutch got since Central scored on 6 of 8 also.

I have been lurking on these boards for a while, and claim no allegiance to any one team in the IIAC. I just love watching d3, its players playing the the game how it should be played. However, your posts are very frustrating for me to read, its one thing to be a fan, and to trash talk rivalries, and I understand that, but your posts are so annoying to read. I read where you made excuses for the wartburg loss to central, and now I see you demeaning the accolades the O-line has deserved all year. FYI, central could and was scoring anyway they wanted to, while wartburg was dominating through the air, rushing was a B-/C+ overall. Therefor centrals line deserves more credit.

Again, congrats to cornell. way to dump the monkey. It wouldve been easy to shutdown after the heartbreaker vs. simpson, but you didn't and after playing most teams very tough this year, you finally came out on the right end.

In your opinion!!!

FBDaddy wasn't trashing Central's line, he was just making a comparison that you don't agree with, lighten up.
