I was perusing the team statistics for the year and noticed that Coe has only 4 TO's on the season (all fumbles).  Which to me, is phenomenal and combines skill with a little luck.  Now they still have to play the Rams, so that may be 10 by the end of the year haha.  In all seriousness, as far back as I could find (circa 1999), the least any team had in a given season was 10.  I was wondering if anyone else knew of any other time when a team was under 10 for the year, or the least any one team has had for a given year.  Not really a stat to be kept for record purposes, but I found it intriguing and a sure sign of Coe's success this year.
Terrell Owens was asked for one word to describe himself. He said "confident." When asked for another word he said "very."

So Cali, are we gonna find a job for this Macey kid and get him out on the pitch with us or is he gonna scurry on back to the nice weather.

I've dropped hints this past summer. I don't know if he plans on looking for a job out here or not. I'm sure Heys can provide some insight on his plans after graduation.

Coe's ability to hold on to the ball is phenominal. It will be a great asset in the playoffs. Boyle's no interception streak would be notable for Woody Hays' Ohio state teams of the 70's, let alone in today's more wide open game.

Central has finished the regular season this year with 2 fumbles lost and 5 interceptions for a total of 7.  Not as good as Coe's 4, but I'll take it.

To all the Seniors who's football days are coming to an end.  Conagratualtions on making the right choice and extending your career four more years after high school when 80% of players hang it up.
I also offer you this, although football is coming to an end, your competitive hunger for a contact sport can still be fed.

Go out and find a rugby club and play for 15 more years.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

And then you can look up my brother-in-law that does artificial knee and hip surgeries...well, if you live in the Quad City area ;)

Actually, I think coocoo has a good thing going there.  Not only is he involved with Rugby...but his rugby team hangs out with Roller Girls and Stripper Poles!!!

footballdaddy

Define Poles for me please because the image of a hairy European guy in a g-string will scar me for life.

That would have been fun to be a fly on the wall when coocoo explained the Dancers Ranch sponsorship to his wife..."I didn't seek them out honey, as God is my witness, they came to me.  I couldn't turn down their money!!!"  ;D

I would think, when recruiting recent college graduates for your rugby team, such as Heys Jr.  That mentioning your Dancers Ranch partnership just might be a good way to lead your recruiting pitch ;D ;D ;D

For IIAC football related content.  If Dubuque can get a win this weekend at BVU.  The Spartans senior class will leave with a .500 overall winning percentage and only 1 losing season during their 4 years at UD.  Something that I don't believe has happened since spurrier was playing for UD way back in the day!!!

Not really liking the projections that have Central facing off with St. Thomas in the playoffs for the first round.  Makes me think back to the 33-32 shootout we had with them the last time we played them in playoffs.  An exciting win, but what a workout for a fan.  I was exhausted after the game.  And I was a lot younger then!

1 or 100 when playoff time comes around the W is always sweet.

Trying to figure out the formula for how the brackets will be put together and who will be Central's play off opponents is way too complicated.  I will hope for a match up with Linfield or St John's just because it would generate the most Post Patterns traffic.  It is as close as I am likely to get to the action.

You've seen him in person...he's too big to scurry.    :D

Make sure it's well paying job with a good insurance plan...oh and he'll need a place to stay...and someone to feed him.   8)

The pride I have for my son's time in the IIAC extends to you all as teammates or opponents.  It was an honor to watch you all compete with and against him.  Good luck wherever life takes you.
