In January of 2009 Robert F Kennedy Jr. gave a talk at Wartburg.  My son was forced to attend because of a class he was taking but did it under protest.  Kennedy said that every waterway in the state of Iowa was polluted to the point that none of the fish were safe to eat.

Gotta love indoctrination.  >:(

Ah yes, the days of indoctrination in college, I remember it well.  Of course, you will be told it's not indoctrination, you're just getting the truth!

Back to IIAC talk.  Dubuque had two football players on their basketball team this past season.  How many IIAC kids end up playing 2 or more sports during their college days?  And what are the usual suspects as the two sports?  Football and Track???

Former Wartburg LB Alex Pollock will be the new head football coach @ Aplington-Parkersburg.
Good Luck Alex.
Aaron Kampman on Coach Ed Thomas
I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

Purple Heys

Zach Zasada (the Serbian Sackmeister) and Andy (Juggernaut) Siar are also on Cornell's golf team.   8-)

The Wartburg coaching staff should feel confident the A-P pipeline to Waverly will continue.  Does every Wartburg football player end up in coaching???

Well, I know of one player who is interning for Iowa state this summer.
NKD: "We need a f**king touchdown, excuse my French"
FBD: "I didn't know touchdown was French."

Doolittle, went to the Central-UD softball games yesterday.  In game 1 the UD pitcher took a monster shot to the left thigh off the Central hitter.  She retained her composure enough to get the ball to first base in time for the out and somehow managed to suck it up and stay in for a few more innings of pitching.  If that is the new working through the pain mantra at UD, things should be looking good over there.  That was a killer hit, the Central fans were all shocked and impressed at the same time.  I bet that young lady has one monster bruise today.

Klompen, I'm so old that felt painfull just reading about the hit.  My theory is we are breeding tougher kids these days ;)

I've decided to forego my senior years and declare myself eligible for the NBA draft.
