Haven't posted in about a year...did I miss anything?.......Other than Loras' sad, sad performance.

Welcome back du-sz.

As for Loras...every team in the conference has to take their turn as conference doormat.  UD had about a 15 year run.  Cornell has been looking up at the rest of the conference recently.  Now it could be Loras :P
Let me add my welcome back du-sz.

As to taking the turn at doormat, Central does that, just not in football in most of your lifetimes.   :) :) :)

There are sports other than football???!! My year has two seasons -- football season and the off season.  ;)

There must be some other games people play.  How else do you explain Williams getting the Directors Cup?  I'm guessing they do well at bridge and suffleboard and croquet and such.

I got this off of the Wisconsin board:

When you "Letter" in Scrabble instead of wearing it on a jacket, you carry it around in a little wood rack.

You guys make the call on who would

Speaking of sports that aren't football, I like the homeboy, Red Lead in the Cornhusker Saturday.  I might box him in an exacta with Brass Hat since he is a nine year old and I always root for old guys to do well.

The Fiesta Bowl is sponsoring a little friendly competition this week end, 7-7 passing league.
My sons team did good last night, starting things out with a 4-0 mark in the books.
I think today will be a good one also. ;D

My sons team ended up in the second place slot.
We had fun watching some football. It wasn't like a regular season game,
but still was football on a week end! :)

A win is a win. Is this true?

The reason I ask this question is because the team that my sons school lost to yesterday had quite a bit of an attitude (before, during and after). They won 27-0 and first place in the tournament.
How to define their attitude? Talking smack, swearing, shoving after the plays.....I think you may get the point.
So is there a difference in a Cal Ripken and a Ty Cobb; A Mike Tyson and a Gentleman Jim? Or is a win a win? Does it really matter how a team gets to that win? If they play with in the rules, does it really matter on how you play the game?
Is winning everything??? :-\
