Dutchie...I think I just threw up in mouth a bit. The family board comment will give me nightmares for weeks.

Hey dog you still rockin to the wiggles in the family truckster?

The Klop is back

I wish I was still rockin to the wiggles...our girls have moved on to Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Hanah Montana and that stuff.  Depressing.

BUT, I was able to take my younger daughter over to Waverly 2 weekends ago to watch the UD/Wartburg game.  She loved it.  If the weather is nice this coming Saturday I might just pack up the minivan and take them up to Decorah for UD/Luther.

Good to have you back...now we'll get to argue over the BV/UD game coming up in 2 weeks ;D

Imagine that, ME telling people to keep it clean. Everyone, go drink a beer and get back to your regularly scheduled programming....

I like your tagline, you frisky woman!

Klop, where have you been? Did you finally make parole?
Two words:  THE STREAK

Klopenhiemer

Coco...I did make parole. All is good!
Dog. Both tea$s suck. It should be a good battle.

Nice to hear Coach McMartin on 1460 this morning...also, the host encouraged football fans to go over to the Central/Wartburg b/c it would be a very good football game.

Wow what a week.  Saturday's Wartburg game is probably the last at Schipper Stadium for Central's seniors.  I can never figure out playoff seeding but it won't be a surprise if the IIAC reps spend their post-season on the road.  So this old fan sends on his best wishes for a great game to a bunch of guys who have given me a ton of thrills and kept me looking forward to autumn Saturdays for the last four years.

There is a planned tailgate on the Central campus (Roe Center parking lot), I believe sponsored by the Alumni Assoc & hosted by the DM Knight Club for Sat. Is this going to be similar to an SJU home game where you can get by with "red cups" (or without) or is that totally off limits. If so, is there an alternative meeting place in the works, or just go with the flow?

The parents tailgate is planned in the same parking lot.  I don't know what they will let us get by with as two years ago we tailgated on private property.

I think there might be a shortage of Solo cups in Pella stores this weekend. To hold our Pepsi and ice of course.  ;)

I know I will have 20oz bottles of my favorite soft drink on hand.... ::)  It was the way around the rent-a-cops at Luther last year.

Back in the day when there was a Lutheran church (with a Wartburg grad pastor)right next to the field, Wartburg revellers would just set up in the church parking lot and shock some of the Reformed people by our sinful  behavior.  Pastor Mark would gather Knight fans around before kickoff and lead us in a pregame cheer.  Then we would head over for the game.  It was a great time.   I believe the church built a new facility on the edge of Pella and their property now is part of the college.  As a result I assume that tradition is a thing of the past.

Hopefully we can get some guidance fron DF1 on this matter.  I would assume she has attended a tailgate event or three in her short life.

Incidentally, I would suggest orange Solo cups rather than red ones for this weekend's festivities.

All this talk of Wartburg and alcohol made its way to E. Dubuque.

Final unofficial results show that voters overwhelmingly voted to ask the City Council to consider changing city law to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages until 3:30 a.m.

They want to get the hours changed before Wartburg plays UD in Dubuque next fall ;)

What a bunch of amateurs! If you can't be three sheets to the wind by 12:30, you're not trying.  ;D
