I think there might be a shortage of Solo cups in Pella stores this weekend. To hold our Pepsi and ice of course.  ;)

Pella's finest did a walk by of our tailgate a few yrs back and my stylish red cup only raised a grin and a nod.  I would think if you keep the decorum noisiness of the tailgating beyond question they won't get to inquisitive curious.

Sorry, forgot I was writing for Wartburg fans for a minute. ::)

Cow Tipping

The Wartburg offensive line decided to go out cow tipping in the middle of the night.

The big offensive guard lined up on the cow and hit the cow with all his might. The cow slowly tipped over and fell to the ground.
The bigger offensive tackle said, "Move aside, I'll show you how this is done." He also hit the cow with all his might and the cow quickly fell to the ground.

All of sudden they noticed a little old lady with a huge shotgun coming from the house. "Hey, what are you boys doing out there?"

The Wartburg football players replied, "Were just getting ready for the big game against Central Mrs. Johnson. The coach said we had to practice on hitting the back side and working are way through it."

Mrs. Johnson said, "Okay, have a good game Saturday!"
As she turned she thought to herself, those Wartburg boys sure are determined. They were practicing the same exact thing on my sheep last week.....

The South Dakota High School playoffs saw an 86 yard punt that took a minute and four seconds of clock.

An IIAC school needs to sign this kid up...or at least dial up a wind machine like the conditions that helped this punt out :D

I don't think I have EVER seen something like that before!  +k for posting that.

Traveling to Yuma tomorrow for what might be my sons last senior high school game. The playoff picture is looking grim. It's one of those seasons that if we win, the other team beats that team and this team loses...we're in the playoffs.

So I hope that Wartburg and The Dutch have a great, safe and clean game Saturday!
I have to throw a prediction out there....

The Dutch 37
Wartburg  24

Go Dutch!

Bird Dog

Wartburg tailgaters a stop at Ulrich's meat market could help ward off security.  Their snack meat sticks are not only delicious (artery clogging yes) but their aroma is guaranteed to cloak the smell of adult beverages.

Lacrosse would be fun,at least in the mens form. Any sport where you can assault your opponent with a stick is OK by me.
And here we thought it was a Coe fan... :D

I've never been to Pella to tailgate before. What's the etiquette there?
Passing up ISU/Nebbie tix and plan to see the team I'm chearing for win in Pella.
Switching sides are you?  Welcome to life as a Dutch fan.   ;)

Luther 24, Dubuque 21Norse linebacker/human tackling machine Kyle McGivney, the pride of Warren (Ill.) High, will write a new NCAA Division III single-season tackle record with 15 stops. McGivney trains by tackling running backs off moving motorcycles in practice.

Loras 13, Cornell 10This game will give winning ugly a whole new meaning. The 3-5 Duhawks are averaging under 12 points per game, but have a rock-solid defense that could make them a .500 team yet.

Not so much. WIll be decked out in orange. We've got a title to win.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

Personally, I think that a Central win makes the IIAC look stronger.

There is no way I will root for Wartburg, if Coe wanted to go to the playoffs then we should have taken care of business.

I haven't had the stomach to post anything since the Wart loss.

Go Central

Go IIAC

Go Kohawks!
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

In a perfect world the third place IIAC or MIAC or WIAC team would get to play the MWC winner for their AQ when those conferences produce three one loss teams. :o

Let me get this straight. You would rather see Central win, even though it may hurt Coe's playoff chances, rather than Wartburg have the chance for 10-0 with an increased chance of Coe going to the playoffs?

Just askin'
